Ryobo Battery and Charger Starter Kit with FREE Radio Controlled Truck

Over at Home Depot, there will be a sweet deal on this rather unusual Ryobi 18V bundle deal.

Buy a compact 18V 1.3Ah One+ battery pack and compact pop-on charger, and get a free “Uproar” radio-controlled car. It looks to have some Ryobi 18V branding on it, too!

The deal should go live at 6am ET today (Thanksgiving, 11/23/2017), and if not, well, at least you still have a closer look at the bundle and a link to what will be the product page.

Update: It’s live now!

Price: $59

Buy Now(via Home Depot)

A number of people have asked for a closer look at this bundle, and at least one person expressed great interest in the charger.

On one hand, it’s likely a slow charger. On the other, it’s a compact charger that might be easier to take on the road than the standard Ryobi 18V charger.

I just like the idea of a radio controlled truck powered by 18v power tool batteries.

Heh what’s next? One of those pistol grip controllers that also functions as a drill? Stop. Don’t even think about it. That’s my idea. I’m parenting that.

Charger looks similar to the one that comes with the artic cove mister fan. The mister fan I highly recommend, the charger is really slow. Tried recharging a 4ah and even after a good 12 hr it was maybe 50%.

Just got home and ran this truck, I’m really impressed!
2wd, not 4wd, and that made it actually a little tough to drive on gravel because it breaks traction and spins.
To hard for my 5 year old to drive due to its speed.
    Happy with my purchase,

ran it out in some hard grass and one of the front wheels fell off. Their held on by lock nuts. Hopfully have all the parts but replacing it is not an option. Home Depot is completely out of them online. I would suggest tighting your wheels. Besides that it is super cool.

Anybody that missed this last year, DirectTools has the truck only in stock right now for $59. Again, it doesn’t include a battery or charger, just a new truck. I missed out on this when they had them in stock around Black Friday, but got an email that they were back in stock. As of 21 Feb 2018 14:15 I was able to order one.
