This Tekton 2-in-1 funnel has a removable flexible extension that allows for easier placement of the funnel for pouring. It’s made from chemical-resistant polyethylene and can be used with oil, gasoline, kerosene, coolant, and other such auto-maintenance and engine fluids. You can of course use it for water and other common non-auto fluids as well.

Seems like a good idea for me. My Hopkins funnel is still going strong after years of light use (I mainly just use it for windshield washer fluid), but it can be awkward to use at times. Even though there is a high-wall splash guard, I still have to pour slowly due to how the funnel usually ends up angled and positioned. With the Tekton, I can see myself appreciating the flexible extension, not just for its positioning options but because it looks to offer a finer/slower flow control.
The funnel is priced at $4.50, and Amazon lists it as an “add-on” item, meaning it can only be purchased with $25+ of qualifying free-shipping items.
Does anyone see a potential downside to this funnel?

The amount of oil and other fluids that get caught in the crinkle section will likely make this a one fluid only funnel… IE, don’t use it to pour oil after using it for coolant…

OK, this something I know about. On the farm I am always putting fluids in equipment in dusty conditions. This funnel is hands down the best I’ve ever used.

Oh, and made in USA.

Harry J Epstein sells American made funnels as well. Some are made out of solid steel as well.

Thanks, I LOVE the cap thing. OK, ordering one now… clearly the answer for oil into my f-ing pain in the a$$ Ford E350 diesel van where even a contortionist needs to dislocate several joints to service it. I would have bought this even if it was $15. But it’s not!

Colin makes a valid point about single-fluid use. Once used for oil, a funnel usually can’t be used for other fluids. However, the flexible extension is removable and can be washed out. For oil, I would unscrew the extension, lay it out straight and rinse it in a shallow pan with a soap solution to clean it. That’s not something you could do as easily with a one-piece funnel because of the size (diameter) of the pouring spout.
