Dewalt Black Friday 2022 Jump Start Deal 20 off 199

I have been working to sort through more of this year’s “early” Black Friday 2022 tool deals, most of which will likely be extended through Thanksgiving weekend (as usual).

There are a fair number of tool deals and alerts up already, and more to come. Here are the deals and promos, with most coming from readers’ tips (thank you all!).

Acme Tools – Save $20 off $199+ select Dewalt Purchases

Pay close attention to the Acme Tools Dewalt discount! MM (thank you!) wrote:

I just noticed a new Black Friday special at Acme you really ought to tell everyone about.

They’ve got $20 off any order of $199 or more on a very long list of Dewalt merchandise, but more importantly there’s some significant discounts on many products on top of that.

For example, the 15ah Flexvolt battery is $249, and 9ah Flexvolt 2-pack for $279… and the $20 off coupon appears to stack on top of those discounted prices.

The 5″ Knipex Cobras are insanely useful. Throw them in your back pocket and you’ll forget they are there, but they punch way above their weight class. I gifted two of them last year and both ppl have remarked to me how much they love them.

Also, that M12 stapler kit looks like a smoking deal if you’d use it. Even though the charger is M12 only, that’s a great price on two batteries and the stapler. I bought one last summer in advance if building a large chicken pen and that thing is was worth its weight in gold. I’ve used it several times since and it’s never jammed or hiccuped once through probably 3k+ staples. Highly recommend.

Yes, the stapler is great. Once you use it you’ll never want to manual staple again. And it’s a steal for this deal.

There are some great Amazon Global deals. This spanner set seems very attractive at $120.

In past years it seemed that merchandisers used Veterans Day as a precursor for Black Friday Sales. From the volume of emails (or sparsity thereof) hitting my inbox this morning – that trend may have diminished. Beyond the usual suspects (Amazon, HD, ToolNut, Acme) that Stuart covers – what I saw were mostly 10% sorts of offers that Ill list below:

Bakers Gas and Welding: $100 to $300 rebates on Lincoln Welders

Pittsburgh Spray Equipment Co: Free items when you buy Titan Sprayers

ToolsToday: Code VD10 for 10% off on $75 or more

All-Wall Equipment: Code WALKTALL for 10% off on all Drywall stilts

    ToolMarts.com – 11% off using code 11.11

Finally, we’re seeing some good sales on BIG Dewalt batteries. I just ordered two of the 15ah Flexvolts.

I mentioned this before, but it bears repeating: Acme also has some pretty good deals on FLEX cordless tools right now. Most of the tool kits come with a free 5ah battery. There’s also a deal where if you buy the 6ah “Stacked Lithium” starter kit you get a free tool. That is a noteworthy deal. The “Stacked Lithium” battery is a pouch style pack like Dewalt Powerstack. Also the charger in that set is not some cheapo as in most starter kits, it’s just under 12 amps so it’s actually on par with the best chargers you can get from Dewalt or Milwaukee. $250 for a tool plus a very good battery and very good charger is not bad at all.

Might have to pull the trigger on the 15Ah deal. I have one that came with the 20″ chainsaw, but it would be nice to have a pair. Now I just need them to come out with a 2x60v 25″-30″ mower and/or snow blower.

It’s the best price, by far, that I’ve ever seen on the 15ah.
I still need a small number of mid-size batteries, and there are a lot of sales on those these days, but I’m holding out for the 5ah Powerstacks. And if only that DCCS623 would hurry up and hit the shelves, I have need for that right now!

I haven’t ordered anything yet but I’m seriously tempted to make a bit of a dive into FLEX. I really like their inline 6-1/2″ circular saw, and I also find myself needing a heavy-duty orbital recip saw: my corded Super Sawzall got stolen and I’m not going to buy a corded replacement. Normally I’d look to Dewalt but none of their models have an orbital mode. Milwaukee does with the M18 Super Sawzall but I don’t really have any interest in anything else on the M18 platform and I don’t want to jump in for just one tool. I’d consider using a battery adapter if this was a lighter duty tool but I’m not going to risk it for a heavy duty tool like this, so that means some system other than M18. Flex’s recip saw does have orbital mode and seems to perform near the top in YT tests. So with two tools I’d get good use out of that’s a lot more tempting. Not to mention it probably won’t be too long before I’ll need a new 1/4 impact driver, and Flex is also on my short list of possible replacements there thanks to its trigger bit release.

Yeh it looks like the DCCS623 has been pushed back to March2023 now. I was hoping to have it for tree cutting this fall, but I’ll be fine without it.

I still do not have any FLEX tools, but really have not heard anything bad about them. Their stacked lithium has a ton of potential, just like PowerStack. And their recip does look solid af. Perhaps my favorite heavy duty recip is the Metabo HPT MultiVolt, which is on clearance for $175 (or $155.74 with 11% rebate) at Menards.

I haven’t used the Flex recip other than a simple demo at Lowes one day where I couldn’t really exercise it, but it has the same feel as my old Super Sawzall, it is very heavy, feels extremely solid. Very low vibration, and the the grip texture really stood out too, it has a lot of friction and the ergonomics are good too, it really felt solid in my hand.

I will go check out that HPT multivolt, perhaps there’s something else on the platform that catches my eye and is worth considering.

October 2021 I picked up the Wera Compact screwdriver set for $104 and thought I had got the best price to date (they were on Amazon pre-pandemic silliness for $95). So if you need a good set for electronics, watch repair then I would recommend.

Thanks for the heads up on the M12 stapler. Time to visit HD site.

Don’t think it’s been mentioned but a decent deal for someone that needs pure batteries. (Milwaukee m18 (2) 5ah + 12ah for $299)

You can find that Wera set on grooves.land for $84.01 currently w/ free shipping, and without tax being charged for some reason. I’ve bought supplies for PC builds there before and never had any issues with things not showing up, despite the bad reviews you can find from people calling the site a scam after accidentally ordering Euro versions of electronics or backordered stuff that takes forever to ship.

Someone else mentioned that retailer recently, and they totally looked fishy to me.
