It pains me to give away these fantastic Bosch 12V Max tools, but I’d rather put them in your hands than simply keep them around because they’re awesome.

I enjoy using these tools, but I haven’t for a while, mainly because I tend to use 18V-class tools for most things, and also because there are newer 12V-class tools to test out. I know I’m going to miss that right angle drill. It hasn’t seen much use, but I know I’ll need it once it leaves my hands.

One lucky winner will receive a drill/driver, hammer drill, impact driver, screwdriver, and right angle drill. There’s also an LED flashlight with seriously-bloomed handle (it should be cleanable), and two Channellock levels.

These levels were launched in July 2011, and have been stored away for much of the time since then. I gave away the laser version a long time ago.

I reviewed the Bosch 12V Max drill and screwdriver 7-1/2 YEARS ago. These could be those same tools, I’m not sure. I’ve bought one or two more PS31 drills in the years since.

Notes:

Some of the tools have been in deep storage. The rubbery grip material has bloomed and needs a good cleaning.

Batteries and charger are NOT included.

  40. These tools would be a huge help when my father-in-law asks me to come over to bbq and we inevitably end up taking something apart or building something. Corded tools are great and all, but having these in the back of my Durango for unplanned projects would be a major convenience.

  41. I am on the Bosch 12v system and it’s fantastic for the size! Being able to grab an updated impact, a right angle and then a drill where I can use ALL my bits would be amazing. Great stuff right here.

  45. I’ve been using the same corded Craftsmen drill for almost 20 years now. It still works, but as I head into home ownership I am in dire need of a cordless set. Since I don’t have any cordless tools yet, I don’t have any brand restrictions in terms of matching battery packs. These tools will get used for years to come on home improvement projects. I tend to take care of my belongings so they will live a long life assuming there are no manufacturer defects.

  46. 12v driver sounds like something I’ve been shopping for so I’d love that for assembly work in my woodshop. 20v impact is usually a little overkill.

  56. These Borsch would make a great first set of 12v system. They would be perfect for light and medium duties around the house and definitely handy for the baby crib building project.

  100. Hello! I’d really enjoy and get a lot of use out of these for the same reason I entered the M12 giveaway. I have two daughters under 8 that are interested in learning how to do basic woodworking and other mechanical things. I’ve checked, and they can use tools in this size class with minimal help because they are lighter weight. I’d really like to have a set so they can work on things using power tools themselves, instead of having me guide a much larger tool for them.

  101. smaller hands need smaller drivers. Teaching my kids things will be easier with littler 12v tools than normal 18v size ones

  177. I’ve had a Bosch PS31/PS41 combo for about 10 years now, and they’re incredible. The batteries are even still perfectly usable. I’d love to add more tools to that set, even if they’re not the brushless ones. If any of these duplicate what I have, I’d give them away, and use the rest to round out my kit.

  200. 12V tools are perfect for most of the things I do around the house. Unfortunately, for me, my 12V cordless tools were all stolen from my garage. These would be a great start at replacing them!

  417. FUNNY STORY about Bosch 12V. About 1 1/2 years ago I decided to update an old Craftsman cordless kit due to dyeing batteries. I searched and read stuff on different forums (that’s when I discovered Toolguyd) and narrowed it down to Ridgid (performance & battery warranty), Milwaukee (good name & powerful), and Bosch (good brand & compact/good feel). I didn’t know which way to turn so I wrote to Toolguyd for an opinion. Never did get a response or see it pop up in a news letter (I could have missed it?) but after following Toolguyd, I discovered just how large this forum is and how much is going on not alone how difficult it would have been to answer that question. So no hard feelings. Long story short, I ended up going with Milwaukee 12v and they are nice but I’ve always held a soft spot for the Bosch lineup. One day about a year ago I was strolling through Menards looking for something I had to buy and came across two Bosch (2amp hour 12v) batteries and chargers at a super discount. My guess is they got separated from some display models. So I snatched them up telling myself this will make a good reason to get into the Bosch lineup too – I’ve already got a start. Well a year later, I still have those new batteries and no tools to use them with. So winning this closet cleaning giveaway would really help put some lonely batteries to use (hoping they are still good-I’ve kept them in the house out of heat and freezing temps). Side note, the new brushless oscillating 12v tool has really caught my eye and looks to be a real upgrade. I just need to pull that trigger.
