Whether you’re building up or upgrading your tool kit, or shopping for gifts, the holiday season is great time to score fantastic deals on tools and workshop accessories.
But let’s face it, Black Friday tool deals can be a mixed bag of reruns and tools you’d never think of buying. For this post, I’ve sorted through all of Amazon’s Black Friday tool deals and promos – again – and picked out what I feel are the best values.
I’ve bought a number of these tools and accessories already, and would buy the others in a heartbeat.

Dewalt Tstak Tool Box – $18.99
Sometimes you need hundreds of dollars of modular stacking tool boxes to haul your gear around. Other times, a sturdy and durable tool box for under $20 is enough.
Leatherman FREE P4 Multi-Tool – $104.96
Leatherman FREE P2 Multi-Tool – $90.96
Do you know how multi-tools can be hard to open, and sometimes you might break a fingernail trying to access the internal tools?
The only frustrating part of these excellent Leatherman tools is in the name, and how everything thinks they’re “free” rather than having the “FREE” magnetic architecture that makes the tools and functions easy to fold out.

Akro-Mils 44-Drawer Parts Cabinet – $39.09
Get your small parts and supplies better organized. Amazon also has the Iris 44 drawer parts cabinet on sale, and for less, but I have much more experience with Akro-Mils’.
Bora Sawhorse 2-Pack – $66.42
Bora has more premium and featured folding sawhorses, but these should suffice for a lot of work support jobs.
Milesrcaft GrabberPro Push Block – $29.99
This one costs less than the standard MicroJig Grr-Ripper, but looks better featured than the $29 MiroJig Grr-Ripper Go.
Dewalt USB-C Charger and Power Adapter Kit – $79
This lets you recharge your Dewalt 20V Max cordless power tool batteries via USB-C, or use them as portable power banks for charging electronic devices.
Civivi Elementum II Folding Pocket Knife – $57.38 (other colors are available)
This is one of my favorite flipper folding knives for under $100.
Dewalt 20V Max PowerStack Battery 2-Pack – $109.96
The compact PowerStack batteries are a joy to use on more compact tools, such as impact drivers and ratchets. They can be used with other tools too when you want to shed some weight, just keep in mind that the lower size and lower capacity mean less runtime.
Metabo HPT Quiet 1-Gallon Air Compressor – $109
This is a good compact air compressor that doesn’t make a racket.
Metabo HPT Corded Angle Grinder with Case and Wheels – $29
This tends to be a popular deal every year, with an unbeatable price for a brand-name angle grinder.
Bosch 5″ Random Orbit Sander – $52.99
Bosch’s sanders are excellent, and this one’s no different. Sure, there are larger and fancier sanders, but it’s hard to beat this one for the price.
VacMaster Professional Beast Series Shop Vacuum – $84.99
This looks to be a convenient compact wet/dry vacuum. Just be sure to realize it’s a 5-gallon vac.
Dewalt 14pc Drill Bit Set – $9.97
This is always one of the best buys of every holiday season.
Metabo HPT 10-inch Miter Saw – $99
This is the miter saw deal I wish was available when I first started out. It’s no-frills, but I feel the price is unbeatable for a 10″ miter saw.
Bosch GLL50-20 Cross Line Laser Level – $43.99
There are better cross line laser levels, but not at this price. Just be sure the accuracy – ±5/16″ at 30′ is suited for your needs.
Bosch Laser Distance Measuring Tool – $40
Bosch LDM with Longer Range, More Features – $80.01
The GLM100-23 is a fantastic laser distance measuring tool. I bought one last year to vet for deal/gift guides, and it displaced the other basic DLMs in my tool kit. Home Depot has it for the same price.
I haven’t tried the GLM165-40, but included it as it’s the next step-up from the $40 model.
True Position Tools Cabinet Handle Pull Jigs (USA-Made) – varies, all kits on sale
True Position Tools makes top-notch cabinet hardware installation jigs. I bought one a few years to check out for review, and was impressed with the quality. There are lots of imitators now – including Kreg – but True Position Tools’ is the only one I’ve seen made in the USA.

I’ll second Stuart’s recommendation for True Position jigs. Our cabinet installers migrated to their products as they were introduced to them about 20 years ago. They are accurate and convenient to use. Their puck light jigs were innovative when introduced and they also sell a jig to help transfer locations for plumbing holes – although I have no experience with it. We found that their included drill bits (some via Norseman or Viking) are also of good quality.

Tangential, but I’d endorse that Civivi Elementum as a great all-round pocket knife recommendation too.
It has a neutral handle shape, a blade made of a nice stainless steel, a drop-point is the most versatile blade shape and Civivi’s hollow grinds are very thin behind the edge.

Heads up, that bora speedhorse is the non adjustable leg variety. So you can’t level and can’t adjust height.

I’m a cabinet and installer and that trueposition jig has paid for itself a hundred times over. It’s overkill for a homeowner but for anyone like me who drills a hundred holes per week it’s a great timesaver.
