The Toro 51599 electric blower & vacuum costs a little more than bare-basic blower models, but at around $70 it’s still extremely affordable. It features a metal impeller, 235mph and 255cfm maximum airflow, lightweight 7-1/2 lb weight, integrated leaf shredder blades, and a variable speed motor.
If I were in the market for a new electric leaf blower & vac for less than $100, this is the one I’d get. Compared to the Worx Trivac, this Toro is a pound lighter.

I purchased this one about 2 years ago to replace a previous blower/vac that was no longer working. The main reason I went for this one was the metal impeller. It makes cleaning up easier and seems to grind all the leaves and small twigs up even smaller, perfect for adding to the compost pile.

I picked up the Craftsman 7.5 Amp Electric Blower on sale at Sears for 19 bucks bout a week or so ago, just used it the other day,for my needs it’s fine. It’s small, lightweight, and I dont think I need more than 150 mph to move the leaves off the driveway, deck ,etc.
The blower looks to be a rebranded weedeater, Its plenty light and small enough for carrying up a ladders to do gutters.
I still prefer raking a lawn, it’s quiet, good for the grass, the arms, etc also makes a beer taste more refreshing.

The Black & Decker has a much higher CFM rating and also has a metal impeller. $69 retail.

Sorry for double post!

I have this blower/vac and it works great for the money. It’s also very good at drying off the neighbors cat.

I got one of these when they first came out with this (mine has a plastic impeller), and its still going strong. Sometimes it jams up a bit, and I often think about getting the metal impeller one, but hey, it still works. I once saw an attachment for it that has a big pipe right to the lawn bag for $30 but I haven’t seen it since. Best thing about this tool is it compacts about 4 bags of raked leaves into 1.

I have a toro and to change from blower to vacuum/mulch is a royal pain in the butt. It takes about 20 minutes to change and if lose the little screw, you are screwed.

I own this model; switching from blower to vac is simply a matter of unclipping one and clipping on the other.
