Veto Pro Pac, which recently came out with a backpack tool bag, tech pouches, and laptop tool bags, has announced two new additions to their product lineup – Cargo Tote large-mouth tool bags.
This actually comes as somewhat of a surprise. Veto Pro Pac tool bags typically feature pockets-galore, and are great for organizing a large mess of hand tools. Hand tools are so much easier to find when every tool has its own pocket.

These new Cargo Tote tool bags, on the other hand, are designed for larger and bulkier tools and equipment, such as power tools, clamps, extension cords, levels, and other similar tools.
You wouldn’t want to dig around in the main compartments of these tool bags for small hand tools, but a couple of pockets help ensure that they don’t get lost.
There are two Cargo Tote sizes – CT-LC, and CT-XL. Both tool bags are made from 1800 denier fabric and feature leather handle grips and a 3mm-thick polypropylene plastic base.
They are perfect as a catch-all bag for raiding the van; a carry-all bag for end of day cleanup; and they provide a more efficient way to organize the back of the truck.

They make a great “catch-all” bag for larger equipment (Sawzall, circ saw, smaller levels, extension cords, etc). What’s nice, too, is the rectangular plastic base, which provides support to the equipment stashed in one. Most other standing bags don’t have that base, and they just collapse in on themselves. Plus the plastic base gives about two inches of protection against mud and water if you’re working in a damp basement or at a muddy worksite. A bit pricey, but if it protects your equipment it’s worth it.

I’m sure they’re robust… But I buy canvas tool tote bus from Duluth trading for $25 each and they’re pretty robust themselves.

I can’t decide if it looks more like a tote bag or a purse. Oh, I saw “catch all” in the comments so I am gonna say it’s a Veto Pro Purse. You should note that it will also fit a chihuahua.

I ordered the Duluth bag and returned it. It has no structure, they don’t stand up, and they clearly can’t be put on the snow and muck; they are nothing more than LL Bean bags. The Veto Totes look like they are made for professional tradesmen just like their tool bags. You can take the Duluth bag and give it to your kids. I will take the Veto any day.

looks like the real Duluth tote bag is $100 and looks like it is for women and doesnt have rugged construction. I would never use this on the jobsite:

The Duluth Tote looks great for power shopping at a swap meet. But offers no real protection for steel tools or even battery packed power tools. They’d soon destroy the bag fabric if it didn’t fail to protect them from physical damage first.
LL Bean and/or Macy’s would likely be pleased by them though.
