Veto Parts Bag Front and Back

Veto Pro Pac, well-known for their heavy duty tool bags, has come out with new zippered parts bag, which are perfect for storing small tools, parts, and supplies at hand.

The new parts bags, PB4, are made from 600 denier nylon, for tear and wear resistance, with one side being clear and see-through so that you can easily check a bag’s contents.

They’re also color-coded, so that you can pull the right bag with just a glance.

Each bag also features a small spring clip, for attaching to loops on or inside your tool bag. I suppose you could also hang one of these Veto parts bags from your belt loop or elsewhere on your person, for hands-free portable stowage.

Veto parts bags measure 9″ long x 5.5″ tall.

Price: $50-55 for the 4-pack

First Thoughts

You can buy Klein zippered bags for less ($40 for 4 at Amazon), and Milwaukee has recently come out with zippered bags as well – $8 at HD for the small pouch, $20 at HD for 3-pack colored pouches. But somehow I’m not phased by Veto charging more at $50 for a 4-pack, or about $12.50 each.

I have had great experiences with Veto Pro Pac products, and have been even more impressed with the brand lately. I have been using their cargo tote bags very regularly to lug everything from tools and supplies, to groceries and gallons of water. They’ve been holding up well since last winter.

So while a breakdown price of $12.50 per bag might seem high compared to other brands’ lower prices, and you must buy them in packs of 4, you get a tough product that should stand up to the rigors of rough and demanding use.

I saw their very first paid ad many years ago in Fine Homebuilding and called them on the spot. Spoke with the owner/inventor and bought my first big Veto Pro Pac. The darn thing still looks nearly new and works perfectly. Though weighs a ton loaded. That said I’ve bought other various sizes and models over the years and was never once disappointed. Even gifted a couple.
I’m not a pouch/clutch person so these new items will likely not be in my “collection” any time soon. But I’m glad they’re always trying

Interesting. I like the clear side so you can see what is inside. I wonder how resistant the see through side is to cracking after a year or two of repeated daily exposure to the Texas sun….

They are very very expensive for what they are.

CK Magma do a 3pc Pocket Pack for a little over £5 in the UK.

They are fantastically well made and are up to really hard work

    I really rate them highly.

I have an MB Veto bag and absolutely love it but I wasn’t sold on the MC, LC or XL.

I am looking for something similar, but of a larger size. There’ll be times when I need to carry a small set of tools and I need a bag or pouch that’s transparent so that I can see the contents. Yet, it has to be fairly tough as I have some screwdrivers with sharp tips.

Carl Kammerling brands like Magma – are not as well known on this side of the pond – but are available – typically at electrical/electronics parts suppliers.
All_Spec carries some of their line – but not the parts bags:

Hmmm… I just need to 3-hole punch it so it can go into my My Little Pony binder.

    Pass.

I think it is time to have this conversation about quality gradations, chineese production, and pay-off for consumers. In the USA, we get no added value if we purchase a well designed, quality item produced in China at the higher-end of the pricing spectrum. The in-roads into USA consumer culture was always 1/3 or less the price point of the USA produced equivilant. That was the value of buying a product produced overseas. Now, some of us are routinely paying top dollar for items that are produced overseas…why? A quick search leads me to an adequate small parts and tool bag that is made in the USA. And, as others have posted, there are much more affordable similar items produced elswhere.

Clear vinyl bank bags, 11″x6″, (Amazon search: clear vinyl bank bag MMF) do a great job of keeping my smaller stuff organized at $5 a pop. Better than those Klein canvas bags that get ultra grungy and with the vinyl you can tell what’s in there. The cloth around the zip lets the thing breathe so no risk of bursting.

Yes, they get pretty stiff in the winter but none have ripped in the several years I’ve had them. Not left them in hot sun long enough for them to rot, but the sun does make them quite soft.

First discovered these in a properly Y-chromo’ed tool store in Chicagoland, Berland’s House of Tools.

I might get some of these sometime. Sometimes I have wanted a burly zip bag for small parts storage. Visual factor is a plus. They might need to be a bit bigger to be really useful for me.

I don’t care at all about whether my storage system is manly-looking or not. Those comments are ridiculous. They aren’t pink with hearts.

As a self-employed persons who makes things for a living (residential construction), I don’t think the price is too out of line. Hopefully Veto pays their people well and aren’t just going artisanal firewood-style on their pricing. Sucks if they aren’t USA made.

I own 4 Veto tool bags, all expensive, every bag worth the price. looking at the bags that you get for the price, I had to pass as well. Lowe’s sells three bags, not mesh but comparable to this set of bags for around $10.00
