Wera Knipex Tool Deals 12-4-2022

There are a couple of new Wera and Knipex tool deals you might want to take a quick a look at.

I have been a big fan of both brands for years now, and own all 3 of the tools mentioned here, and would buy them all again in a heartbeat.

Although I wouldn’t describe these as “hot” deals, they’re good buys.

Wera 813 R Bit Holder with Rapidaptor

Wera Mini Bit Screwdriver with Rapidaptor Chuck

This is a fantastic bit screwdriver handle for EDC or more precision work.

Wera Bit Screwdrivers

How small is it? This image shows my different Wera screwdrivers for scale, with the golden-color driver handle being the 813 R. It’s small, but useful.

Buy it at Amazon | $12.35

Thank you to Brian and Shah for the heads-up!

Knipex 10-inch Cobra Adjustable Pliers

Knipex Cobra 10″ Adjustable Pliers

These are hugely versatile pliers, and the price is decent right now. Also check out the additional sizes – I prefer the 7-1/4″ as a starting-off point, although it sometimes cost a little more.

Wera Bit Ratchet with Square Socket Adapter

Wera Bit Ratchet with Socket Adapter

Bit ratchets work well for smaller fastening tasks or working in tighter spaces where a screwdriver would never fit. This Wera is an excellent tool, and although I’ve been searching, I still haven’t found a better bit ratchet.

Buy it at Amazon | $31.80
Buy it at KC Tool | $29.99 (12/4 Only)

If you want a little more than just the ratchet, bit sets make an excellent intro option (or gift idea). Amazon has a Wera bit ratchet set for just under $60, or you can buy a “Tool-Check” set with bit ratchet, screwdriver bits, and metric sockets for ~$76 right now (metric), or with SAE/inch sockets for ~$80.

Amazon has another promo going on right now, on Knipex, Wera, Halder, and other European tool brands, where you buy 2 items and save 10%. This looks to be KC Tool promo on Amazon – be sure to double check pricing.

I can second all of your choices here. I find that I use the Wera bit ratchet a lot. I like Knipex Cobras way better than Channelocks – and was surprised how much I use the 125mm long one – so much so that they are often in my pocket.

Shipping included in the price (aka “free shipping”) at Amazon may sway the purchase if you don’t want to meet KC Tools $75 threshold.

Agreed, these are all great. Cobras in particular are must-haves.

Speaking of Bit Ratchets, Amazon still has the EXRED “Combination Stick” ratchets on sale. The long version is nearly $10 off at $36, and the micro version is about $5 off at $39.70. These have a flex-head hex bit ratchet on one end, and a flex-head 1/4 drive on the other.

Got a set of the TwinGrip pliers from Acme the same day KCTools had them on sale for $30. Didn’t realize at the time how practical they would be. Wish I would have jumped on that deal and bought a second pair.

I just noticed the 817 R is the same $12.35 price:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003GDIT10
You have to scroll down to “other sellers” and select amazon.

Out of stock but can be ordered at that price. Worth it for the 4″ rapidapter alone.

As far as I can tell, the only difference between the 817 R and 817 R SB is that the SB version comes in a blister pack.

I misinterpreted the title of the Wera Mini bit Screwdriver, as in for smaller 4mm precision bits, and not as a mini-screwdriver.
I probably have a enough standard bit ones that I should skip purchasing. But still inticing.
My USA craftsman bit ratchets are all still working great, but there again is another Wera temptation.

The only ratcheting wrench with a 4mm hex drive that I’ve ever seen is this specialized tool from Lisle:

My comment was more two separate thoughts for both Wera tools. The last line wasn’t as clear, but just indicating it was another tool I wanted, but unneccesary.

Nonetheless, that is an interesting tool you posted. Don’t believe I’ll ever need, but always like seeing different tools.

In for the 813 R. I don’t mind waiting for it. It’ll be a nice addition to the Wera Kraftform Kompakt that I keep inside to use around the house.

I saw your post title and groaned because I knew I would want to pull out my wallet again. Luckily I had everything you featured already! 😂

    Great buys, all of them!

For anyone on the fence about the toolcheck plus or just that bit ratchet, wow it is incredible. I’ve used one of mine for 3-4 years now, still going strong. You can torque the hell of it and I’ve yet to have it even skip a tooth. Awesome product.

There’s even a Wera promo video out there showing it breaking loose lug nuts! Although that does exceed the 48 ft-lb max torque rating.

Unless you use a cheater bar on it, there’s no need to ever worry about being too hard on that little ratchet.

The 10″ Cobras are great, kind of the perfect do-it-all size without being too large. But I’ll also say the 6″ and 7.25″ are in some ways even better, super portable and there’s not much they can’t do unless the jaws physically cannot span what you’re working on. When I’m working around our place the 7.25″ live in my pocket, no heavier than a pocket knife and man are they handy. Final note for anyone looking at the smaller ones, the super XXS one has a different locking mechanism (no button). If you don’t have a set of Cobras and wonder if they are worth it- YES.
