Wilde recently came out with new flush-fastener slip-joint pliers in 6-3/4″ and 8″ sizes. What makes this model different from other flush-joint pliers is that the pivot is completely field-serviceable. To adjust the pliers, all you need is a small hex key.
Overall, the pliers are well-built, and I was particularly pleased with the quality of the coarse-toothed jaws. I don’t use slip-joint pliers very often, but when I do I’m pretty hard on them. These pliers may look simple and plain, but they seem to be up to the challenge.

Oops, sorry for the confusion! I was using the term “flush-joint,” but “flush joint slip-joint” sounds a bit awkward.
The pliers are not magical, but I find myself quite happy with their quality and price.

Bought these online after coming across your review… there is one detail about these pliers (or any of the 6.5 ” slip-joints made by Wilde) that keeps me reaching for the Channellocks.
When adjusted in the wider jaw setting, these do not clinch very far before the handles meet/lockup (below the pivot and just above the grips) and prevent the ability to grip anything that’s a half inch or less. When compared to Channellocks 6.5″ slip-joint, you can see a big difference. The Channellocks give you the ability to grip a wide range of different sized fasteners with the jaws tight or wide. This is particularly handy if you want the jaws to clinch and grip parallel to one another on the fastener. If you’re using Wilde’s pliers and opt for the wider jaw, your fastener/object better be larger than half an inch.
I loved the fit and finish and several options Wilde offers for their pliers. I wonder if their 8 and 10″ pliers also have this mild limitation.
