Woodcraft $10 off $50, $20 off $100 Coupon

Woodcraft Summer Sale 2012

Woodcraft has kicked off their August tool sale a bit early. Save $10 off $50+, or $20 off $100+ regularly-priced orders.

We’re always happy to see sales like these even if we don’t need any woodworking tools or supplies. The only question is what to use the one-time coupon on. A backup set of Wera screwdrivers? Some nice Woodpeckers gear that never seems to go on sale? Veritas tools that used to be exclusive to Lee Valley? Eh, we’ll probably end up using the coupon on something mundane.

The coupon expires August 31st.

Note: If you shop through the above links and order something, you pay nothing extra and we get a small commission that helps support the site. If you don’t, we don’t lose anything.

Bit of a rip off if your spending $50 and only receiving maybe $10 off. As your still spending $40 plus tax. Just saying.

If you’re just above $50 or $100, $10 and $20 are still ~20%-off. No Woodcraft locations in my state means no tax.

$20 off a $700 power tool is a bad deal. But for small tools or supplies, it’s alright, at least worth mentioning.

Unless I find something I need right away, I will probably wait a few weeks to see if there will be a stackable free shipping coupon. There probably won’t be, but there’s a little over 4 weeks to see.

Money off a purchase is money off. Yes, it would be nice if they made it 20% off any purchase, but that’s not the offer. Woodcraft is trying to make inroads in a dead market by enticing you to buy SOMETHING without giving away very much. In this economy that’s not the best offer out there, and it may not succeed in garnering much new business. Or maybe it will. Nobody quite knows what works anymore, so they start out small (20% off a relatively small purchase); other times it’s free shipping on everything. It’s a buyer’s market, so if you find a better offer, take advantage of it.

The fact though you have to spend that much just to receive $10 off or even $20 does seem a bit ridiculous. Especially considering the price of several of their items and the fact their website doesn’t list the country of origin for all it’s products does make you think twice when buying.

$10 off $50 and $20 off $100 is better than $5 off $25 imho, and anything is better than full price.

Separately, please stop changing your name to make it seem like more people are complaining about country of origin. It’s not a problem yet but I do wonder what your motives are.
