The new Worx HydroShot Power Nozzle is described as a lightweight watering and cleaning tool. What exactly is a watering and cleaning tool, you ask? Well, it seems that Worx is stopping short of calling this a pressure washer, but still marketing it for many of the same tasks where one might use one.
It’s powered by their 20V Power Share battery system and weighs in at around 4 pounds. The Worx HydroShot can output a water stream at either 100 PSI or 320 PSI. It can be connected to a garden hose, or the self priming tool will draw fresh water out of a container, pool, or body of water.

The rotating head can be set for different spray patterns: a tight jet, 15° fan, 25° fan, 40° fan, and shower for watering. Evidently you can also fit a brush head on the tool, but I cannot find any information about purchasing it.
The Worx 20V HydroShot comes with a single battery, a charger, and a 20 foot hose with a float and filter. As it takes about 5 hours to charge the battery, you might want to look at another battery and possibly a quick charger if you are going to use this tool regularly.

I sort of like the idea – which is what I say about nearly everything they make. The bit about from a pond, pool, . . . is what has my attention because I could see that being a simple fix for using a rain barrel. that I’m thinking about installing later.
also my normal pressure washer is a bit harsh for many simple tasks – this has potential. Now on the other end of the spectrum – it would be nice to see something like this from Echo and their 58V cordless system – that I hope they expand.
anyway – neat idea but want to see how it works out in practice.

I remember seeing something similar to this on some tool blog covering some kind of tool convention. There was a post about Black and Decker had a cordless pressure washer prototype. Congrats to Worx for being the first one to market. I can think of many practical uses for this. And impractical ones too (water fight)!

I’m thinking this would be awesome for washing the dirt bikes while the mud is still mud and hasn’t had a chance to cure. Like before loading up on Sunday only to get home after dark.

Backpack water tank?! Maybe hydration bladder-styled, so that it sheds size as water is used up? Plus that way you don’t have to worry about adding an air valve to replace the water in a 2L bottle as its drawn out.

The price is lower than a pressure washer (given the battery platform is available), and the connection(s) to a hose is about the same, albeit less stiff than a pressurised PW hose. Running an extra line for 120 volts wouldn’t be to big a problem, as long as someone has a cord as long as the water hose. But then again, if the source of the water is closer than the source of 120 volts, cordless could be more convenient.
But, and a big but, if a house or cottage is nearby with tap water, with or without 120 volts, a good hose end adaptor might be cheaper and more portable, and not much less powerful.
Like all cleaning systems, they never let you know really how well attached the dirt is they are removing.
The video does show a lot of unique uses like cleaning freshly dirtied sports equipment before it gets all over the car, or dried on harder on the way home.
It could even be used for a camp shower with a helping hand from someone, or a just a tree branch.

OH and they make a water bladder thing for that aero cart they sell. So I could see a hook up like that.

There was also a version of the video in Italian. I could not find it on their website either which I thought was odd. It could just be an example of their website not being up to date, or somebody not getting the info to the web department.
This is being sold in stores in the US right now though. I held the box in my hands at Menards this morning and it was advertised on sale at a local retailer (Mills Fleet Farm) this weekend.

AH. I also noticed their video used the term mains which I normally associate with england and other europe. Interesting. Would love to see Dewalt or someone else pick this idea up too. Simple enough ODDLY local HD has a sale on Dewalt Gas Pressure washers. I mean there is something that could use the flex volt treatment. (5gal backback, flexvolt battery, 10ft or so hose to wand or less – standard M22 (orwhatever it’s called) pressure washer fitting and nozzles.

I like it! I have a pressure washer but it can be a chore to drag it out. Plus there are a lot of time I don’t need all that power of a pressure washer but just a tiny bit more than what a garden hose can produce.
As far as battery platform I have no intention to jump on Worx. I have had their 18v cordless trimmer before and they did perform very well (for an 18v that is). If it belong to either Milwaukee, Dewalt, Bosch, Ryobi, Ridgid, Ego or Evo I would definitely pick one up.

The cheapest corded pressure washer can output 1500 psi, 10 times more!

I used one of these that a friend bought. It’s a good idea but you could use a super soaker to get the same water pressure. It could be a great product , but it’s really a waste of money in my view.
