Over at Acme Tools, they have a new coupon offer – CRUSH THE FALL with this “buy more, save more” promo.
- $10 off $199
- $30 off $249
- $50 off $399
I know some of you don’t like these deals and would prefer to see a percent-off promo, but $50 off $399 is a decent discount on tools you might need right now.

Maybe for some of you there are also tools you might need *right now* that you might not be able to wait a month or two for. This promo seemed worth a mention.
If you were looking to buy a high ticket item, or your order would fall under one of the lower tiers, and you could wait, I would predict the next percent-off deal to be 11% off for Veteran’s Day. On an order just above $399, the $50 off $399 discount would provide greater savings.
The coupon is valid 10/7/2020, and there are typical brand and product SKU exclusions.
Coupon code is CRUSHFALL.

I put a batch of different items (Diablo, Imperial, Miwaukee and Sola) in my cart – total was $259 but the fine print seems to have made it ineligible.
Stuart
Sorry, that’s unfortunate.
When that happens to me, and I can’t figure out the exclusion, I add multiples to the order (e.g. from 1 quantity to 5) and once a promo is applied it’ll show which items aren’t discounted.
I’d bet if the Milwaukee is a pre-order, that could be it – some of the newer not-yet-launched items have been excluded from recent sales.
fred
As you have said: “Bingo”
I looked again and it was indeed the Milwaukee item. I could do the $10 off deal – but that would incur shipping costs and is also rather ho-hum. I’ll wait on better deals to fill out my Christmas gifting lists.

The best deals still seem to be black friday.
Stuart
Depends.
In 2018, Acme Tools’ 18%-off Cyber Monday deal had a $50 max savings limit.
$50 off $400 is 12.5%, close enough to the 15% discounts we’ve seen some years, and better than the 11% we’re expecting (but is not guaranteed) for Veteran’s Day again this year.
If you need something now, that’s a good deal. If you can wait, or your order would be much lower or greater than $399, you can probably save more by waiting.
Even usually knowing the types of deals that come in November and December, sometimes there’s something you need right now. These deals are still much better than paying full price if there’s something you need right now.

Zoro has sent me a couple of email 20% off deals on selected categories (one was hand tools with very few exclusions) in the last few weeks. The both had relatively low trigger spend levels. They were account specific – so I did not share them. I know you have to be an email subscriber to hear about Zoro deals – but I’m never quite sure what algorithms they use to decide you should get an email. We used to use Grainger then Zoro quite a bit for our fabrication business – always collected a “shopping list” for items running low. With Grainger they used to provide what amounted to kick-backs depending on your annual spending – so it was a bit complicated to estimate prices. Its been a long time – so I don’t know that they still do volume discounts.
Stuart
Zoro sends me coupons when I don’t need them, and either I can never find a coupon when I do need one, or the minimum threshold is way too high, such as $500.
Stuart
NOTE: The deal was extended to 10/8/2020.
Here’s an example where the deal makes sense.
I’m wrapping up a post on the new Makita SubCompact band saw.
Street Price for the kit:
$360 at Tool Nut
$351 at Home Depot
$358 at Amazon
This is a brand new tool that just launched.
$339 at Acme Tools
With the CRUSHFALL coupon, it takes an extra $30 off the price. $309 with free shipping, compared to $350+ everywhere else.
