Acme Tools Crushing Promo October 2018

This morning, after dealing with a water heater-turned geyser, I misread an email I received from my Acme Tools contact. I thought they said I was “crushing it.” Cool, a bit of praise put me in a better mood. But then I silently wished there was a new coupon promo, as I had recently added some tools to my shopping list.

Good news – there is! It just took me a second read-through to catch it.

Now, through tomorrow (10/10/18), save 15% on one item! There’s a max discount of $150, and it’s one promo code per customer.

Here’s the fine print. There are the usual brand and specific product exclusions. Actually, it looks like there are fewer exclusions than usual.

So, there you have it – save 15% off one item, with max savings of $150. Coupon code is CRUSHED. (Hopefully you can see how I misread the email to say that I was “crushing it.”

Deal Info(Acme Tools Promo)

There’s free shipping over $49. Deal expires 10/10/2018.

The promo code works on all kinds of things – including the newest Milwaukee tools! It’s also working on the new Dewalt tools, including preorders (at least those I tried).

Ooh, since it’s one use per customer, that means I have to pick and choose what to buy now, and what to wait until holiday season promos to buy. Decisions, decisions.

What are you going to buy at a 15% discount?

Darn it, I wish this was out yesterday. I ordered a new flex-volt blower.

Definitely considering a 55″ track for my new Makita track saw – Acme’s regular price is already good.

BTW, CPO Outlets is doing “10 days of deals”, with some pretty decent deals, both daily (e.g. today Makita XRJ04M reciprocating saw kit for $220) and for the whole time (e.g. Bosch IDS181-102 impact driver kit for $125), but

Just ordered the Makita track – with 15% off it’s the best deal around.

My 2 local home depots have 55 inch makita tracks on clearance. There are issues with them not lying flat and not being straight.

My local HD’s did, but the clearance price ($75) was the same as Acme’s normal price. I’ve also read the mixed reviews on the track (not everyone has problems, but a significant number do), but decided it was a better bet for me than either Festool (even more $$$) or Dewalt.

If Acme didn’t royally muck up my last order, I’d look a little closer. Unless something pops up in the next day I need, I’ll wait to order elsewhere. It’s not worth the hassle to not be able to talk to the person that “fixes” my order for tax exempt, to only remove whatever promotion I originally used. Ironically I’m sending my last order back today that was supposed to have 15% applied to it

Yes I got their email early this morning regarding the sale, so I ordered the Milwaukee Surge hydraulic driver I’ve been lusting for. Can’t wait to hear it, or is that not hear it?

I think you’ll be very happy with it.
I love mine, and it’s been getting a lot of use in the last few months.

Great to see that there are less exclusions this time. Looks like the Makita 36v chainsaw with 4x 5.0ah batteries and dual fast charger is down to $330. Pretty damn good deal.

I think I’ll grab the Hitachi C10RJ table saw – that should be a good first table saw, yeah? $296 all-in delivered price seems like a great deal, right?

I picked up that one last year for a similar price from acme. Been good so far for the occasional project. Not as nice as the one I remember from high school shop class but it’s all mine. And stores nicely out of the way when I’m not using it.

If you go tankless steer clear of the Sanyo units. We have had 3 in the last 5 & 1/2 years. Got a Bosch this time!

John, are you using gas or electric?

About a year ago I installed two tankless natural gas fired units made by Rinnai. Both have been running flawlessly so far but now it’s about time to do the yearly required flush. The change over from the previous tank water heaters was rather laborious but it does free up some floor space in the garage. Only time will tell if the switch to tankless was a good choice.
