I feel Acme Tools priced themselves out this year. Last year it was 13% on anything, the year before it was 15%. The 13% was barely enough to convince me to buy tools I didnt need, 10% is just to close to only saving the cost of tax. I was thinking about picking up the Milwaukee extended reach ratchet from them at 15% off but at 10% I passed. Acme has the unfortunate burden of being a place only some people kind of want to shop. In my case, I havent had great experiences there (after purchase) and that makes me want to look elsewhere first.

I agree. I looked at them the last two years for things I needed and things I wanted. I bought both elsewhere because I found them cheaper. I don’t e en look at their website anymore during the year.

The main thing it seems I hit them for this year was stacking discounts on preorders on Milwaukee gear.

That is because ACME doesn’t do their 15% until later, usually first or second weekend of December. Right now they are having the 15% off event in store and then they usually extend that 15% online for a few days.

Thanks for the heads on the Bessey clamps.

On Acme it says you have to get six clamps to get 10% off. At 10% off an 18″ would cost the same as what you can get it for at Rockler without having to buy 6. So not such a hot deal Acme.

Randy is spot on. Throw in tax and shipping on top of that I couldn’t pull the trigger on anything.

Me neither, although I spent a lot on Packout at Acme earlier in November, and I went with them for machinery they had at rare 10% discount.

The problem for me with 10% is that I can get that at HD on top of their other sales if I wait long enough (they send me a 10% coupon for use with the HD CC).

Thanks for all the hard work you guys do.

Not sure if it still works, but I used the Rockler coupon and bought Bessey clamps individually. 20% off and shipped free.
