I used it to buy 3 Freud router bits that I wanted plus preorder a Milwaukee 2522-20 M12 cutoff tool. The cutoff tool came to just under $110 with the discount, and the router bits were competitive (after 15% off) with my usual source (RouterBitWorld)

BTW – Seneca Woodworking (makers of add-ons for Festool Track saws and Domino machines) – is having a 15% off sale – using code “laborday2018”

Or I could get 20 percent off tools on ebay at CPO-Outlets without having to mess around with ordering extra items:

Stuart
“Max $50 off orders $25+.” That CPO deal might be better on smaller orders – good find!
The way the math works out, if your order will be $335+, Acme Tools’ pricing is better. Acme also has better selection. For example, looking at the ebay sale, a search for “router bit” turns up (1) CPO listing, and for a Dremel collet.
Peter
True. The 20 percent deal comes up every few months. I’m slowly growing my collection of Dewalt cordless tools and buy one every time they have this deal. If you’re patient, you can save a lot of money. But you’re right, Acme has way more stuff than CPO-Outlet.

eBay is great when it comes to items typically excluded by Acme and Zoro. This year they seem to be timing their sales blitz’s toward the end of the fiscal quarter to juice their numbers, so keep your eyes peeled to a 20%/$100 max sitewide sale in the next 2 weeks. And if you miss that, there should be a few 15% deals too.
But CPO has also raised their selling prices a little, washing away some of that discount. They are participating in the limited sales promotions (vendor specific not sitewide).

Tried to use it on some EGO yard tools but didn’t get any discount. Is that a brand exclusion they didn’t list?
Stuart
Unfortunately, that’s quite possible. Or some Ego tools might be eligible while specific SKUs aren’t. They have a (full?) list on the website. I’ll try to add them here when I can get in front of a computer.
chase
Odd, I looked through the list and none of the SKUs are listed. Even with the discount it is too much for me to bite off ordering 4 things at once, so it will have to be a pass for me.

Time to buy more clamps! (Bessey 31″ parallels, in my case).

Thanks for the tip! I just picked up a second Bosch BOSCH-CLPK22-120 12 v drill/impact driver kit, which ACME currently offers with a free bare tool! The kit has brushed motors, but the set I already have works great.
For the free tool, I chose the new PS32 brushless drill, which I’ve been eyeing. So altogether, I picked up three tools, two batteries, and a charger for about $110.
Now I have three Bosch 12v drills and two impact drivers, but hey, it means I’ll never need to swap bits when working with more than one size.
Also, FWIW, I tried adding several of the EGO attachments for the PowerHead to my cart, but none gave the 15% discount. Also tried the 16″ chainsaw with 5AH battery, nut no luck. Oh well…

I was looking for the cordless Makita tracksaw hoping for a labor day bargain and found this kit for $399: Makita XPS01PTJ 18V X2 LXT Lithium-Ion (36V) Brushless Cordless 6-1/2″ Plunge Circular Saw Kit (5.0Ah) on Amazon, third party seller. Two batteries and a dual charger, plus a couple of L-Boxxes. No track. Makita’s my top tier brand, so I have plenty of batteries. I had about $60 in bonus points from the Amazon card that I’d been saving for something like this, so it ended up being even less. It’s not a sale from what I could tell.

Was hoping they would be good for a Makita 118” rail, but $199 handling charge makes it a no go.
Stuart
Ouch.
One of our other affiliates (and friendly sites) – Tool Nut – has it for $199 and only a $25 shipping surcharge. It’s noted as shipping directly from the manufacturer.
Acme’s might ship from their warehouse via truck, and if so, their calculator probably does not differentiate between large shop equipment and a 10′ guide rail track.

If I’m not mistaken, the Makita tracksaw will fit on the Festool track. Not sure what sizes they have, but you can get Festool tracks from Amazon with free shipping and likely many other places, too.
