It’s that time of year, “Spring Black Friday.” Luckily, Acme Tools has a few deals that look to be genuine money-savers.
You can save 10% on select Delta and Rikon tools. Dewalt ToughSystem and T-Stak tool boxes are 10% off. Save 15% on Milwaukee RedStick levels.

Buying new cordless outdoor power tools? Buy a Milwaukee chain sw, hedge trimmer, or string trimmer, and you get a free Gen2 blower. They have a couple of Dewalt 20V Max cordless outdoor power tool bundles, starting at $249. Or, save money on a cordless EGO trimmer or push mower. Lastly, there are some Milwaukee 18V X2 OPE tool kit deals.
There a couple of other featured tool promos as well.

I didn’t feel that there were any must-post-about deals that deserved additional emphasis, but overall the promo is worth a quick look, to see if there are any discounts on a tool from your shopping list.
Are there any tools you are planning to buy this Spring? Cordless power tools? Outdoor power equipment? What kinds of deals should we pay extra attention to?
Acme Tools’ main deals ends 4/8/2019, but some of the promos extend past that. Some end sooner, such as the Milwaukee RedStick level promo, which ends tomorrow.

At the top of the post, I said “Luckily, Acme Tools has a few deals that look to be genuine money-savers.” Here’s the initial intro:
It’s that time of year, “Spring Black Friday,” where a cordless drill and impact “special buy” bundle can be $149 as part of a Deal of the Day one day, $319 the next, and then “$198 after $121 savings” a few days later as part of special promotional event. (I witnessed this happening at another online retailer. While there’s nothing wrong with it, I would think that a Spring Black Friday sale would feature the lowest pricing.)
Acme Tools’ deals look good to me, but I haven’t cross-referenced all of the model numbers and SKUs to double check. Their pricing doesn’t seem to be as… “cyclic” as some other retailers, but prices can go up or down.
Here’s one thing that makes me feel better about Acme Tools’ Spring Black Friday promos and pricing – they have a 30 day price guarantee. I felt a reminder might be helpful.

I have most of Dewalt’s OPE for my yard in 20 and 40V, but would like to end up with a Dewalt 40v mower.
Didnt see any good deals I had to have, but some decent ones if I were in the market.

The new M18 quik lok string trimmer kit and freebie is live on HD.com for $329. Free pole saw, hedge trimmer, or edger attachment. Better than a free gen2 blower, which is on sale also everywhere for $99.

Looks like Makita has a few promos that should work with these deals.
If you buy the blower, trimmer, or chainsaw kit that has the 4, 5.0ah batteries, Makita will give you another 2, 5.0ah batteries, or a grinder. Neither option seems to be working. Just check with Acme if you intend to buy.

Shoot, I didn’t mean to reply to Brian.

When that happens, make a new comment and leave a note at the bottom or reply to your to-be-deleted comment like you did here. If I can catch it quickly enough (meaning before someone else replies to it), I can remove it.

some of the dewalt power tool deals are pretty good if you want to buy something and either get some batteries or another tool.
Example I’ve sort of wanted a new cordless circular saw – so their kit would bundle with a free 3 sp impact driver. SO you’d get a battery, charger, the saw and their top impact driver – for 279.
OR Get the bare tool saw – and it would come with batteries.

Bought a 40v Ryobi Hedge Trimmer but not from Acme

I am watching for a real deal on a Bosch 12 volt impact. Lowes has the 41 kit for $99. Amazon the BN tool only for $87. Hoping for a little better deal.
Stuart
If you’re willing to wait, the drill and impact combo might drop to $99 again. That’s a fairly regular seasonal deal. https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/?s=CLPK22-120
The What?
There’s no such thing as spring black Friday or summer black Friday or fall black Friday or winter black Friday or any other sale event that is incorrectly advertised as black Friday except for the day after Thanksgiving. That’s it. There is no other black Friday any other day of the year. There’s other ways to advertise a sale without the use of pretentious marketing wank. It’s not that time of the year for any kind of black Friday anything because it’s not November yet and yesterday wasn’t Thanksgiving. And none of the deals reflect on what an actual black Friday sale is. It’s April. There’s no black Friday in April.
Stuart
In response to my post A Look at Titanium and “Titanium-Like” Hammer Marketing Claims, you commented: “It’s individuals like yourself that just has to voice their lame opinion about something that doesn’t matter just because you think advertising is wrong.”
Like it or not, it’s a marketing trend many that is here to stay. Yes, it deserves an eye-roll, but “Spring Black Friday” goes back a few years, at least to 2012. It really picked up in 2013, and this year it seems to be everywhere.
Michael
Oof. Could you be so kind as to pass this along to him too? ?

I’m pretty sure the day-after-Thanksgiving Black Friday is marketing wank too!

Acme tools is the worst. Their list pricing is never the actual list pricing they are clever at making you think you are getting a good deal. That said every so often they actually have a decent promo/ deal but I’m so tired of their ads promoting amazing savings. Their selection is awesome. But not a fan

Their site can be a headache too. Just looked at the deals page, picked milwaukee, second page to show 24-48 only has a handful of items even though it should have 18 ( 42 total, – first 24 leaves 18?)
Sort by price lowest to highest … no dice.
Oh well. I’m out. Their loss.

“Lastly, there are some Milwaukee 18V X2 OPE tool kit deals.“
Did you mean to say Makita there?
