Amazon Dewalt DCF845 Cordless Impact Driver Kit Deals

Amazon has a good deal on one of Dewalt’s best cordless impact drivers.

At the time of this posting, Amazon says they recently sold 5K+ of the DCF845 impact driver in tool-only format.

That’s not terrible if you just want the tool. But for $30 more you can get the kit, which comes with a charger, compact 2Ah battery, compact POWERSTACK pouch cell battery, and tool bag.

In my opinion, the DCF845 is Dewalt’s second best 20V Max cordless impact driver. It’s a very good XR model that’s second to the newer DCF860. I consider it on-par with the older Atomic series DCF850.

Even if you don’t need another tool bag or charger and aren’t thrilled about the 2Ah battery, $30 is worth it for the XR PowerStack battery.

Price: $149

Additional Context

The price is up very slightly compared to the last time we posted about it – see Amazon has a Great Deal on this Dewalt XR Impact Driver Kit.

At the time of this posting, Home Depot has the same kit for $159, and Acme Tools has it for $219.

While $129 isn’t terrible for the tool-only DCF845B, you get a lot more with the $149 kit, making the kit a better bargain.

Been meaning to ask since you recently said the triple hammer “was” your favorite impact for a long time. While not my favorite for stupid reasons it certainly without question is the best one I have ever used…. So out of curiosity what is now your favorite impact?

The HPT Triple Hammer is superb. But, I’ve been growing tired of keeping another charger and more batteries for just one or two tools, and I rarely reach for it anymore. Would I buy the Metabo HPT kit again if it were the same promo price? Absolutely.

I’ve been paring things down, and in doing so forcing myself to draw a line.

Ultimately, I think it’ll come down to my purchased XGT impact or maybe one of my Dewalts.

What about the Dewalt DCF870B? That looks similar to the Metabo.

I need more time with it. I really like the XR DCF860, and it has replaced my purchased Atomic DCF850 as my favorite in the Dewalt 20V Max line.

Milwaukee’s M18 SURGE is long in the tooth (but still good), and I’m betting there will be a Gen 2 now that Dewalt has entered the ring with the DCF870.

I bought a DCF840 a few years ago to test, and the DCF845 is similar but with more premium features.

Lowe’s has the DCF840D1 kit for $99, and so does Acme Tools. Amazon’s deal gives you the XR with multiple speed/torque modes, plus the PowerStack battery for $50 more.

You can always get another battery down the road, but together there’s enough incentive to look past the DCF840 unless one is strictly focused on price.

ANYWAY, the Metabo HPT has an additional impact anvil while ethe Dewalt ‘870 is a hydraulic impulse tool that operates in a different way.

If you have a Home Depot credit card, you probably get frequent offers for 10% off a purchase. I seem to get one a month. So if you bought the HD drill for $159 with 10% off, it would be $138. Plus you’d have a much longer return window if you don’t like it or anything goes wrong.

And if you bought any other item at the same time, you’d get 10% off the whole order.

I did see a Lowe’s link in the article. My Lowe’s has this listed for $149 as well.
