We came across a couple of more Amazon tool deals and received a sweet late-night tip.
The deals here aren’t very exciting, but hopefully they align with what some of you guys have been looking for. If not, stay tuned, tomorrow’s the big day!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Jet Parallel Clamps
Rich wrote:
I found a good deal on parallel clamps that I wanted to pass along. Parallel clamps don’t go on sale too often, usually just this time of year, so I always try to jump on the best deals I can find to add to my clamp collection.
Jet 70450 50″ 2 pack for $76.41 at Amazon. At Rockler 1 is on sale for $67.99. These are some high quality clamps at a great price. For comparison, a single Bessey Revo clamp is $51.99, and even the Bessey jr is $47.99.
Thank you to Rich for the tip!

Update: This Jet clamp deal looks to have sold out. Check back to see if more inventory becomes available. Acme also had a “buy one get one free” promo on select Jet clamps, but they appear to be sold as well. It might be worth checking back on that deal too: 12″ clamps, 24″clamps, 31″ clamps.
Knipex Diagonal Cutters
It seems that a lot of retailers are price-matching each other on this Knipex 70 01 160 diagonal cutters right now. A couple of retailers have it for ~$2 more.
I’d say this is more of a “gift guide” mention than a deal, really, but that’s okay – Knipex tools are great quality and always a solid recommendation.
Price: $20.56
Reminder: Did you Get a New Flashlight Yet?
If you buy nothing else, it’s just $5 for shipping.
Wera 20pc Phillips Screwdriver Bits with Box
Do you really need legendary Wera screwdriver quality in 1/4″ hex insert bits? Yes. This Phillips 20pc bit bulk pack is less than $10.
Shopping around, this isn’t the best deal, but it’s not a bad price either.
I bought a pack a while ago, and these are quite nice bits. But don’t use them in an impact-rated tool. I might be a bit biased in favor of this bit pack – I was wooed by the Bit Box, which is much nicer than other brands’ cheap bulk bit containers.
Price: $9.60
Kershaw Leek Knife – Made in USA
Ah, the Kershaw Leek, my old gateway knife.
This remains one of my most highly regarded folding knives, as it shows that you can get a great quality USA-made knife at a reasonable price point.
This is an assisted-opening knife with secondary blade safety lock. Some locales are less friendly to this type of pocket knife, so check your local laws and use your judgement. I used assisted openers around the workshop and love their ease of use.
Sale Price: $37.02
Review:
Streamlight LED Flashlights are on Sale
A selection of Streamlight flashlights is on sale, and with new “Black Friday Deal” labeling.
A couple of readers have commented very favorably for the Streamlight Stylus Pro USB-rechargeable penlight, and so I felt it deserved a quick mention. It’s on sale at the moment alongside the other Streamlight deals.
Price: $37.47
Dewalt Rotary Hammer Kit Special Buy
The Dewalt DCH133M2 20V max brushless D-handle rotary hammer kit sold out fast, but you can still order it on backorder. Amazon expects to have it back in stock on January 1st.
Seeing as how the bare tool sells for $199 to $219, $229 for the 2-battery kit does seem like a very good deal.
Price: $229
Dewalt Band Saw
I wouldn’t think that Dewalt’s corded deep-cutting band saw would be so popular, but there seems to be a lot of interest in it. It’s on sale right now for a hair under $200, and typically sells for a lot more.
Price: $199.04
Craftsman Ratcheting Screwdriver Set
While not really fancy enough for us tool snobs, this Craftsman 26pc ratcheting screwdriver set is on sale for just under $15. This looks to be a great gift item.
I would say that family and friends don’t give DIY-level tools to family and friends, but you’d be surprised as to how much people actually like them. My father still has great things to say about a less expensive screwdriver that I gave to him a couple of years ago for extended review.
Price: $14.98

Bonus: Milwaukee Screwdriver Deal at Home Depot
A couple of readers expressed frustration at not being able to buy this Milwaukee screwdriver 2-pack online. Right now, it looks to be shipping just fine!
The 2pc set comes with a 13-in-1 multi-bit screwdriver and an 11-in-1 multi-but screwdriver.
Price: $14.97

For only a few bucks more you can get the Milwaukee 48-22-2322 at HD (and other places I assume) – fewer bits but longer and at least it feels to me more durable. A stubby one is available also.
Stuart
Here’s the Home Depot Link: $17 with free shipping.
True, but a lot of folks prefer 1″ insert bits that can be easily replaced or swapped out for bits they use more often.
This also has that extending part picker-upper, which seems neat.
King duck
It is no longer available online
Tom D
Just checked – the Milwaukee will work with 1” bits even though it comes with none (it has a magnet in it).
Andrew E.
I’d get both. Wera bits are really nice and grippy and don’t smear like cheaper bits (not saying Milwaukee are cheap, Wera is just a step up in quality).

Any good deals on full-torque impact wrenches this year (like the Dewalt DCF899 or Milwaukee 2767)? So far I see a lot of impact drivers deals, but very few on impact wrenches.
John
The Jet clamps are now (8:30am ET) listed as “unavailable” on Amazon.
Stuart
Sorry – I posted about them without delay, at ~4am. Must have sold out fast. Might come back in stock?
Acme had a BOGO offer, and it sold out already too.
fred
I spotted this Wiha promotion for a toolkit in a Veto bag:
https://www.wihatools.com/wiha-tools-veto-tech-stabila
Stuart
Those sold out a while ago. They had extremely limited quantities as an influencer/social media stunt.
fred
Not that I plan on buying one – but I just tried adding one to “my cart” and it worked – tho’ didn’t try to checkout. So maybe they still have some stock?
Matt
They’ve announced that they sold out on Instagram.
Wasn’t that great of a deal if you ask me. The last pack they collaborated on was more but a much better deal.
John
Rockler has 48” Sure-Foot aluminum bar clamps on sale for $30ea (reg $40). Anyone know if these are comparable to Jet clamps (out of stock) mentioned above? I’m just starting my large clamp collection. Thank you.
fred
The Rockler sure foot are not parallel-jaw clamps. Before Bessey introduced the first parallel jaw clamp – we all used pipe and bar clamps with a screw-fed clamping mechanism like the Rockler. The sure foot design is an improvement on those old designs – to the extent that they lift and support the clamped item above the bench-top. But they are not as likely to be able to provide clamping pressure that is parallel to the clamped surfaces.
Often the most inexpensive approach to long clamping needs is to use pipe-clamp heads on black iron pipe. That sometimes has a price advantage – and pipe is available in lots of lengths. But compared to the Rockler aluminum clamps – pipe clamps are heavy and you need to take care that the pipe doesn’t mark the wood.

Tom D
The ones that use pipe also don’t include the pipe – and depending on where you are the pipe can be annoying expensive or require a trip to town (nobody wants to ship ten foot lengths of pipe for free it seems)!
fred
Having been an owner of a plumbing business and another pipe fabrication business – I never had that problem – but it is another downside. Pipe (even 3/4) also deflects more than steel I-Bar clamps. Back in the 1960’s when I was building my clamp collection – no one shipped anything for “free” – nor was there a HD or Lowes at which to purchase lengths of pipe. You had to go to a plumbing supply house with your truck – or have them deliver it with theirs. BTW no one (including Amazon) really ships anything for free. But they do bundle the shipping cost into their prices – and probably can get their shipping done at rates that would not be available to the general consumer. So we do benefit from this”free-shipping” e-commerce model.
Tom D
I once saw the rate sheet for a small company I was working for – so not great on discounting – and it was obscenely cheap.
I can only imagine the pricing Amazon can negotiate.
Lyle
Seems like the Dewalt deep cut bandsaw is only available as a bundle now with 3 extra blades for $214.
Stuart
If you look at bundle details, you can still get the band saw by itself. Clicking on it brings up the tool page where it’s back in stock.
I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on with the links and why it’s forcing the bundle into view.
Lyle
Stuart, thanks. I was able to change to just the saw. I tried to buy it from your link over and over again but it wouldn’t work. I restarted the app also. Sorry, I had to search for it manually and buy it that way.
Stuart
We probably got credit for it anyway, but don’t worry about that.
I’m more concerned with having the link work as intended. I think it should be fixed now. *shrug?*
