The Atom is a new unibody multi-purpose keychain tool that has been presented on Kickstarter for funding. It features screwdriver tips that can work triple duty as package openers and a pry bar, a bottle opener, 1/4″, 5/16″, and 3/8″ hex wrenches, a ruler scale, rough protractor with 45° graduations, coarse and fine-cut filing surfaces, and a finger-safe cardboard and soft wood saw.
The Atom multi-tool is made from stainless steel (440C) that is injection molded and then heat treated for strength and durability. All markings are laser etched.

You can pledge $10 for the silver Atom, $15 for the black finished Atom, $25 for both, $60 for a 5-pack, or $100 for a 10-pack. USA shipping is $6 for the 1- and 2-Atom packs, and is included in the other multi packs.
Update: the pledge pricing has changed – it’s now $15 plus $6 shipping for a single Atom, and the 2-packs, 5-packs, and 10-packs are no longer available.
ETA is July 2013.
Pledge Now(via Kickstarter)
At the time of this posting, 1,102 backers pledged $23,628 of the $40,000 goal. If the $40,000 is not reached by 6/20/13, then the project will not be funded and your credit card will not be charged.
Here are a couple of keychain-sized multi-tools we have wrote about in the past: Shard, Barbar, Carabiner V3, GDC, Brewzer. Although their names are not quite as charming as Atom, they’re available now.

I am amazed at the price of some of those… but cool tools nevertheless

The multipack sounded good to me but I did not see it as an option on Kickstarter.

You’re right. I guess they saw that they were inching closer to the funding threshold and decided to raise the prices across the board. Now the only option is stainless steel in silver or black finish for $15 plus $6 shipping.

Absolutely amazing the amount of tools these people are able to fit on to one little tool in such a small profile! Can’t wait to pick one of these up.

For the price you can do better with a Pocket Monkey.
