As you might have heard, Amazon Prime Day kicked off earlier today, 7/16/24. As usual, Home Depot isn’t passing up the opportunity to hold their own tool deals, and Lowe’s jumped into the mix as well.
Home Depot has a lot more money-saving PRO Dewalt and Milwaukee tool deals, while Lowe’s has miscellaneous Dewalt, Bosch, and Kobalt cordless power tool deals, as well as cordless outdoor power tool deals from different brands.

Home Depot has plenty of deals on Milwaukee M12 and M18 cordless power tools, power tool accessories, and more. I don’t recall seeing this deal bundle before, making it a good promo to kick off the post.
Dewalt DW735X Thickness Planer and Stand Bundle – $699 at Home Depot
This is a greater compact planer at a good price. We normally see the planer on sale for Black Friday, and sometimes once or twice in between. If you were thinking of picking this up the next time around, that’d be right now. Miss this, and we anticipate seeing similar deals in another couple of months.
Home Depot says they have 42 planer bundles in stock with free shipping.
Dewalt Xtreme 5-in-1 Cordless Drill Driver – $129 at Lowe’s
Lowe’s has the excellent Dewalt 12V Max Xtreme multi-head drill/driver kit on sale for $129. It comes with 4 interchangeable heads (plus a built-in bit chuck) and can be used to drill holes and drive fasteners in tight or awkward spaces.

Most of the items listed at Lowe’s appear to be full price. I wonder if this is an error and they haven’t correctly applied the price reductions for many of the listed items yet.

I’ve been a little disappointed in Prime Day and competitor offerings this year, but that DeWalt planer combo was something I had parked in my cart for a few weeks waiting for today. Actually, the one I had parked did not include the rolling stand, so the cheapest price plus extra stuff was a no-brainer for me.
I’m curious if the website number available is regional or nationwide. When I checked this morning it said they had 42 of the combos, and when I ordered just now it said they were down to 39. That doesn’t seem like a lot of stock for a nationwide promo.

Walmart sale was good earlier however
my business partner failed to order 6 tires for the work truck in time. Now same tires will cost an extra $180.
So far from prime day I ordered some work shirts and two shower mats.
Temu on the other hand has for $100 supplied about $180 worth (in four days!) based on Amazon prices or $250 plus based on home depot prices; not included in that are two junky items which is the “Temu tax” but for $8; the excitement waiting to see what turns up is the fun bit.

Some people wait for it to be on sale every Black Friday season, and a Prime Day sale might have caught them off-guard. Equipment like the planer bundle aren’t really impulse buys.

I have the previous model and I honestly don’t think I personally have ever used the AC plug. But I agree it is nice to have.
I scooped up this deal and plan to make it my camping fan, so I definitely will not need the AC option.

Which kit is it? I put the fan and this kit and nothing special happened. Well $50 off the fan, but I didn’t need to add the kit to get that.

Good to know! I have yellow and red and would prefer that to the Bosch Flexiclick, if it is just as good or better.
Was wondering if it was small enough to fit in everywhere the Flexiclick can.

IIRC it’s a bit taller than the flexiclick because of how the battery fits, but the handle is much more comfortable and it has a good bit more power than the FC as well.
