Over at Amazon, today’s deal of the day (10/12/15) is this Bosch 12V Max PS21 drill/driver and PS41 impact driver kit (CLPK27-120). While they describe the first tool as a “drill/driver,” I’d classify it more as a cordless screwdriver, as it has a 1/4″ hex quick change chuck.
Aside from the chick, the screwdriver is identical to Bosch’s drill, from the adjustable clutch, to the 265 in-lbs torque rating. The impact driver can deliver up to 930 in-lbs of torque.

I used to frown upon cordless screwdriver and impact driver combos, in favor of drill and driver combos, but they’ve started to make more sense to me. It seems more and more reasonable to use an 18V drill (or powerful enough 12V model) and a 12V screwdriver for light to medium duty fastening, and an impact driver for heavier fastening tasks.
This isn’t the best Bosch 12V Max combo kit deal I’ve seen, but it does look to be the best deal I’ve seen in a while. Bosch and Amazon have been stingy with their 12V Max deals in recent years.

Overall, this is a decent kit at a good price. You get the 2 tools, 2 batteries (probably 1.5Ah unless Bosch updated the kits), a charger, and a carrying case.
Both the screwdriver and impact driver are great tools. The designs are a little long in the tooth, but there’s nothing lacking.

I owned some bosch stuff for a while, sold it simply because there was not belt clip. They worked fantastic though!

I should say it was a 12v drill and impact.

These are newer kits since they have the impact driver, they should all have BAT414 2.0Ah batteries in them, unless you’re getting one at a retail store that hasn’t sold any in over a year.
This is a good deal for the price, but it’s incredibly dumb that Bosch packed these TWO tools into the small carry tote which is only designed to carry ONE tool, the two batteries, and the charger. There isn’t enough room for two tools, so the second one just gets thrown in there and is loose and bangs around.
Really would have made a LOT more sense if this 2-tool kit had come in an L-BOXX with the inserts for both. I guess it’d be an option to use the tote to carry just the two tools with batteries installed and no charger, though.
