Bosch 12V Drill Impact L-Boxx Radio Combo Kit

Update: Amazon has these back in stock (as of 8 am ET 1/27/14), and the price is still $159.20.

Garrick spied a great deal over at Amazon:

The Bosch CLPK33-120LP 3-tool and LBOXXes 12 volt combo is down to $159.20 at Amazon.

I already have several of the drills, but would like to try the radio, and could always use more LBOXXes.

We wrote about this Bosch cordless tool and L-Boxx package, their largest 12V cordless power tool and L-Boxx combo kit, back in August when it was priced at $203. At $160, or $159.20 to be precise, this combo kit is an incredibly good value.

Bosch CLPK33-120LP Combo Kit Contents

  • 12V PS31 drill/driver (review)
  • 12V PS41 impact driver
  • 12V PB120 jobsite radio (preview)
  • (2) 12V 2.0Ah Li-ion batteries
  • Battery charger
  • (1) L-Boxx-1
  • (1) L-Boxx-1A with (6) organizer bins

You should check out our Bosch L-Boxx system review to see why we like L-Boxxes so much.

Update: Home Depot is now offering the combo for the same price of $159.20.

If you’re happy with 1.5Ah batteries instead of 2.0Ah and don’t need or want the radio, Bosch’s 12V drill/driver and impact driver with 2x L-Boxx combo is currently $149 via Amazon.

$10 for the bigger batteries & radio is a no brainier. Great deal, if I were in need of a 12v class power tools.

Just jumped on this same deal without the radio 2 weeks ago for the same price darn- it. But, if I always waited a week or two for deals I would be tool-less. Haha

You could return the other kit and buy the new deal, or see if the vendor will work with you probably not worth the effort though. At 2 weeks your well within the return window.

Grabbed this one yesterday! Crazy deal – might even sell the radio back online and only pay $80-90 overall – crazy!

I want this so bad right now, BUT……was able to compare the Milwaukee and Bosch 12 volt line, the Milwaukee fits in my hand so much better that I think that is going to be the deciding factor.

The milwaukee three cell batteries are arranged with a single cell in the front of the grip which allow your finger tips to wrap around the grip better, thus gives more control and comfort using the tool.

just wish milwaukee would enter the lboox category.

……and L-boox really needs a clear top as I find myself using the stanley pro compartment box more than the L-boxxes that I have..

Probably not a coincidence, but I see Home Depot has the same price for the combo (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Bosch-12-Volt-Lithium-Ion-3-Tool-Combo-Kit-with-L-Boxx-CLPK33-120LP/204510420#). Just in case Amazon runs out.

Amazon (seems they may be sold out) now defaults to “Best Tool” for $185 plus shipping (non-Prime). Home Depot is still listed at the lowest price.

I just ordered at HD after Amazon showed unavailable. And as I’ve had the 12 v series for maybe 5 years these are a nice ergonomic and feature set upgrade. And dazzlingly cheap.
Begs the question how will “we” ever make anything again in the US at these price points?
    Aaah. Never?

Bought mine at HD with their 90-day return policy. Since the new brushless versions are just around the corner I’ll keep them in the package for now and wait to see what the new kits will be.

Menards also sells both of these kits in store and online . The 3 tool kit (radio included) is onsale for $159 and the 2 tool kit is $149.

Also, the batteries included with the 2 tool are indeed 2.0Ah, not 1.5Ah. I verified this myself at Menards and this was also confirmed by Home Depot customer support.

For those that don’t care too much for the radio and cases, there’s a deal at Lowes (YMMV) for the same drill, impact, charger, and batteries, but comes with a canvas bag and adds a reciprocating saw for $10 more, $169. Add a 10% coupon and you can get the combo for less, around $153+tax.

Here’s the link to the 3 piece combo w/recip saw.

That kit doesn’t come with L-Boxxes, and I don’t think it comes with the newer 2.0Ah batteries.

Correct, no L-Boxxes, but they do include the 2.0AH batteries (at least in my local store).

I think it’s mainly a good deal for those that don’t care about the L-Boxxes and would rather have the recip. saw.

Just to chime in again……..HD regular price seems to be 200, so right now i don’t really NEED it, and when i do need it, i’ll probably be working on an income generating project and much more easily be able to spend 200 then, rather than 160 now.

    Because i’m broke now.

But many thanks Stu for informing us of these deals, i’d never find them on my own.
