Bosch’s Second Best-Ever Gliding Miter Saw Deal (Expired)

Bosch CM10GD 10-inch Axial Glide Miter Saw Holiday Deal 2023

Bosch’s 10″ dual bevel axial glide miter saw CM10GD is on sale for a limited time, and is now $439 after coupon.

The Bosch gliding miter saws – available in 10″ and 12″ sizes – are different from traditional sliding miter saws. While they are portable jobsite saws, these saws are especially coveted for use in woodworking workshops.

Bosch CM10GD 10-inch Axial Glide Miter Saw Rear Clearance Example

Instead of placing the saw arm on a ball bearing carriage that slides along two rails, Bosch’s top of the line miter saws have a gliding mechanism that minimizes the amount of rear clearance needed to make longer cuts.

The 12″ miter saw was on sale yesterday, and it looks like Bosch has stripped the added savings from that model.

If you were on the fence or missed that deal, luckily the 10″ model is still on sale, at least for a limited time.

The 10″ saw, model CM10GD, is priced at $589 and is eligible for added $150 savings, dropping the price to $439.

This is the LOWEST PRICE I have ever seen for the 10″ model. Yesterday’s deal focused on the lowest-ever price I have ever seen for the 12″ model.

Acme Tools – $439 after BOSCHSAVINGS coupon.

Amazon – $439 after clickable coupon ($544.21 – $105.21 at the time of this posting)

Bosch killed the deal on the 12″ saw, and it might only be a matter of time before they realize it’s still live on this 10″ model.

Everything that applied to the 12″ also applies to the 10″. I am not aware of any major differences compared to the 12″ aside from cutting capacity. The 10″ can cut boards up to 3-1/8″ x 12″ at 0° miter/bevel, compared to 3-1/2″ x 13-1/2″ at 0° miter/bevel for the 12″.

The only major difference I am aware of is that the 10″ does not have the table base extension that the 12″ has. I could be wrong on that.

I would like the cordless version of this. I still have a corded 120V 12″ Hitachi that has a messed up fence (need to align). But want a cordless model for trim work. Not sure if Bosch will discount the battery one, or just get a Dewalt?

M18 7¼ sliding compound miter saw for anything light, M18 10″ for anything bigger. You’ll always reach for the lighter saw unless you’re cutting 2×12’s on miter..

Either version is not the saw to buy if you intend to move it from jobsite to truck daily. It’s basically an aircraft carrier of a saw to move with no good way to do so. I had the 12” version and dreaded picking it up in all if it’s unwieldy 60+ pound wide and tall glory.

I even adapted Dewalt’s shadow line led cut line light to the glide saw, fully wired in and mounted basically like oem.

So large and heavy, I don’t miss that saw

I own the 12” model. I bought it to take the place of an old radial arm saw (that I nearly cut my arm off in a mishap). The Bosch stays in the shop. I’d hate to lug that giant thing around—there are better saws for job-site portability. It’s a great addition though to my tool arsenal! Worth every penny.
