Bosch L-Boxx-1 Power Tool Carrying CaseBosch’s new European-style L-Boxx tool cases have hit the US market in full force. Quite a few tools are now offered with L-Boxx cases, and four sizes are available separately to hold your cordless and corded power tools.

The four L-Boxx models, designated L-Boxx-# where # equals 1, 2, 3, or 4, can all stack onto each other for easier transportation. All models feature two latches and a large handle. The smaller two models feature an additional briefcase-style front handle, and foam inserts.

Prices range from $50 to ~$100, and the cases are a bit more affordable than Festool’s Systainer system. It will be interesting to see how the L-Boxxes compare with Dewalt’s upcoming ToughSystem.

I’m with Al, I know some of it has to due with oil prices, but I just can’t wrap it around my head to pay 70 bucks for a plastic case ,thats more than some of the tools it will house. I’ve modded some of my older tool cases by cutting out the internal plastic and placing pistol/rifle foam in the case.

With you guys. A couple of years ago I bought a drill carry case with flip top mini storage compartments for $15. The same thing now is $50…..yikes ! I’m going to carry my power tools in a paper bag before I’ll pay that much for plastic.
