Other new features include a weather-sealed digital media bay to protect portable players, built-in SD card and USB ports to play MP3s directly off of memory cards and thumb drives, external auxiliary input ports, a line-out port, a USB charger, and a built-in Bosch 14.4V and 18V lithium-ion battery charger.
The standard PB360S model has a built-in four-way power outlet, and the PB360D deluxe version has a four-way GFCI outlets. This means that if connected to an outlet, you can then power corded power tools, shop lights, portable electronics, and various other tools and accessories directly from the Power Box 360. There’s even a 12V DC car charger for even greater versatility.
There will be two versions of the Power Box 360, a standard model, and a deluxe model. Among other things, the deluxe model features the GFCI outlets, a fully backlit front control panel, remote control with 40-foot range, and a built-in SIRIUS “Dock & Play” port.
Bosch’s original Power Box set the bar for jobsite radios a few years ago, and it looks like the Power Box 360 has the potential to do the same. We love that Bosch decided to keep the roll-cage design!

This looks fantastic. The original had great sound volume and quality so if this is better I can’t wait. There’s no word from Bosch in the UK yet but I suppose this will be released very soon. Can you tell me if this is going to charge lithium batteries as well as the older nimh or nicad’s ?
Stuart
According to the product specs, the Power Box 360 is compatible with:
Battery: Lithium-Ion batteries, BAT607 – 14.4V SlimPack, BAT609 – 18V SlimPack, BAT614 – 14.4V FatPack, BAT618 – 18V FatPack;
Charger: 14.4V – 18V Bosch Batteries (BAT607, BAT609, BAT614, BAT618).
It looks like it may only be compatible with Bosch’s Lithium ion battery packs. The older NiCads batteries have a stem, the newer Li-ions are slide-ons.
The press release also specifically mentions Bosch’s 14.4V and 18V lithium-ion batteries. I will update the post to better reflect this, sorry about that.
