Bosch PS32 Brushless Drill Kit for $110

Bosch’s 12V Max PS32 brushless drill/driver, which we picked as the top 12V-class drill in our Best Cordless Drills buying guide, is on sale over at Amazon, AND it’s eligible for their $25 off $100+ holiday discount.

The PS32-02 kit, normally priced at $159, is on sale for $135, and is then discounted to $110 at checkout.

$110 from $159? That’s part of what makes this a hot deal. The other part is how the PS32 is one of the best compact cordless drills I’ve ever used.

It’s small, reasonably powerful, lightweight, and simply nice to use.

To be frank, I’ve been annoyed at Bosch’s treatment of their 12V Max cordless tool platform. Bosch has been expanding the lineup at a snail’s pace here in the USA, although some tools are easily available through overseas channels. I bought my Bosch 12V Max circular saw from Amazon UK, but I shouldn’t have had to – this saw was announced 3 years ago!

This seems like a good drill for installers, pros, techs, DIYers, and anyone who might just need to tackle low to medium duty tasks. Battery runtime is very good, thanks to the brushless motor and 2 included 2.0Ah Li-ion battery packs.

The PS32 won’t win any torque or performance contests, but it’s quite capable.

There are a couple of PS31 brushed motor drills to consider, priced as low as $99 for the kit, but I think this PS32 deal is the better bargain. I just wish that it was bundled with an L-Boxx at the same price.

The bare tool is also eligible for Amazon’s $25 off $100+ promo, taking the price from $110 to $85.

As you said – Bosch seem to march to the beat of their own drum when it comes to introducing new tools this side of the Atlantic. They are a big and apparently successful company – so you would think that they impart some logic into their business processes – but it is frustrating. I’m more invested in Makita and Milwaukee cordless – so I don’t need another platform – but when I’m making my twice yearly sojourns to Europe – I still look around at what’s available.

BTW – I guess that die-hard Bosch fans know that Amazon.UK and Amazon.de are sources – you can log in with your US Amazon account and for the German site reset you preferences if you don’t “sprechen” . Both site are also having their own pre-Christmas sales.

I am very tempted to add this into the mix of red I have everywhere. I love the innovation of Milwaukee tools, but I absolutely love the feel of Bosch 12v tools. They couldn’t be more comfortable in your hands. That is the biggest thing I miss after selling my Bosch tools.

Might have to make this the “in-home” drill, if I could get it to stay in the home. Maybe tether it down somehow, maybe with a cord? lol

Gotta disagree. The Bosch tools put the flat of the triangle battery at the front where your fingers need to wrap around, while the M12 puts the point of the battery there. Combine that with the newer style M12 handle with its thinner “waist” at the top and the newer M12 tools fit the hand a lot better (older 1st gen tools were thicker at the top).

The PS32 also has very little overmold on the grip. Compared to the PS31, it’s almost all bare plastic. More cost cutting on Bosch’s part and another way the M12 tools are better (full overmold).

The only thing I miss about my Bosch 12v tools is their compact size and light weight, two areas they are far ahead of Milwaukee. The price you pay is with reduced power, but that is not as important with 12v tools where compact size is their main reason for being in someone’s toolbox.

I agree with Stuart, the Bosch tools are super compact and nice to use. I gave up on them and went M12 simply because I didn’t want to order tools from the U.K. The added power of the Fuel models is nice to have, too.

What are the odds of seeing this bundled with the new brushless impact for the holiday season?

I didn’t see any such SKU anywhere, so… not very high.

There’s a PS31 and PS41 drill and impact driver combo, at $129. If there’s a Bosch promo, it’ll probably be on this kit, but I wouldn’t bet on it. Bosch has not been anywhere as aggressive as Dewalt or Milwaukee with their holiday promos.

Net cost of $110? Gaaaaddddzooks, this one’s gonna be hard to resist. Like Matt though, I really, really would like to see this bundled with the brushless impact AND in an L-Boxx.

I don’t need the PS31/PS41 combo, I already have the PS30/PS40 and any upgrade will be to brushless.

Bosch should push more the l-boxx bundles… I dont see an incentive in the “soft” cases…

Soft cases are a lot cheaper to bundle into a kit than L-Boxxes. If you’re not interested in the L-Boxx, you might be unhappy to spend the extra premium on it.

I realy want to buy it but there is no discount on it right now and I have to receive the order till 20 of December.
Do you think there is any chance for a discount on it soon or just to order the CLPK22 (with ps31)?
I want the drill but I really don’t have anything to do withe the impact wrench.
    would greatly appreciate your advice,
    Yael

This deal was from 2 years ago.

The CLPK22 deal ($99 for the 2-tool kit) is a very good deal. There *might* be a deal on the PS32 kit, or you can look at other retailers’ holiday coupons (e.g. $30 off $149+), but there’s really no way to predict what its lowest price of the season might be. The CLPK22 is a promo every year – or at least it’s one of high likelihood, while PS32 deals are not at all predictable.

If you don’t need the impact driver from the CLPK22 kit, cancel that order and order the PS32 kit!

They’re both great drills, but that PS32 kit pricing is going to be hard to beat.

It comes down to your needs. Drill and impact, or brushless drill? Or buy both and gift the drill, a charger, and battery from the CLPK22 kit to someone in your family.
