Channellock May the Forge Be With You Star Wars Day 2025 Light Saber

Channellock won Star Wars Day 2025, with a post showing a worker at their USA factory holding a rod of heated metal as if it were a red lightsaber.

“May the Forge Be with You.”

My social media feeds have been filled with tool brands attempting to go viral with AI-generated jokes and memes.

Channellock’s post seems to be a genuine video clip, and it just felt wholesome. It’s unclear if this rod was turned into pliers handles or similar, or if it was just done for show.

I’m going to assume that right after the quick wave the metal went on to be pressed and processed into one of Channellock’s USA-made hand tools.

Update: Channellock says that the metal billet was turned into pliers.

There were other cutesy posts too, such as this one from HiKoki but Channellock’s stood apart.

Makita had a worklight lightsaber and a laser level flying through space, with the start of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony Ode to Joy as the background music:

Like I said, there were some cutesy ones, but props to Channellock for winning Star Wars Day by a huge margin.

Channellock’s post is definitely the best of those three.

I’ve seen so much more – these 3 are all among the better ones, with Channellock’s the best.

This is great because it’s authentic. Well-played, Channellock!
