Earlier today we talked about a sweet looking T-handle driver crafted from solid titanium. The T-handle driver was the third tool designed by Tom Anderson, the skilled artist and craftsman over at Artistry in Titanium. Already experienced in working with titanium, Tom’s frustration with cheap, flimsy and easily broken plastic handled store-bought drivers had motivated him to turn his attention to titanium tools.
In his well-equipped basement shop, Tom Anderson took the experience and success he had with his titanium Twister pens, and incorporated some of the pens’ design elements into his new titanium tools. First came a Torx driver, followed by a magnetic driver, and then the T-Grip driver we discussed earlier.

When Tom began his endeavors, his aim was to create tools from premium materials for his own use. He mentioned that even tools with lifetime replacement warranties were failing and breaking, begging to be replaced by something better.

As you can imagine, once Tom started showing off his tools on the Candle Power Forum and other enthusiast forums, orders and requests started pouring in. Many of Tom’s product offerings are based off of customer suggestions and requests. If you’ve got a tool in mind that you’d like to see made from titanium, he may be able to make it happen.

If you get the itch for titanium but can’t dig deep enough for Tom’s skillfully made tools, he also offers a decent selection of affordable accessories that may interest you. At the moment I’m eyeing a snazzy looking titanium zipper pull/key fob.
We will definitely talk more about Tom’s other titanium tools in the future, so check back for updates and even more eye-candy.

Damn…that’s some of the best titanium work I’ve seen. Wish I could afford something.
