A reader wrote in with a question about ball bearing tool chests and cabinets (more on that another time), which prompted me to look around Sears’ website. There, I came across some very good deals on a couple of Craftsman heavy duty ball bearing tool storage products.
All of these storage components have DynaGlide ball bearing slides, similar to the Craftsman DynaGlide cabinet I purchased and reviewed last summer. The ball bearing slides have 75 lb ratings, which is an upgrade over the 50 lb-rated slides Craftsman previously used on their mid-level storage products.

These items are all considered hot buys, so additional coupon codes unfortunately won’t work.
If you want a complete combo, it works out to be $300 for the three units, plus tax. There’s no information about when the promo price expires.
4-Drawer Cabinet
The 4-drawer cabinet is similar to the all-red one I purchased, but with shallower drawer pulls and no GripLatch drawer closures. Still, at $140, it’s incredibly good value. I’m not sure why, but it’s also eligible for FREE Delivery free in-store pickup so you save an extra $70 there.
Update: Apparently “FREE Delivery” doesn’t actually mean what it’s supposed to. See the deal correction post for more details.
This cabinet has reinforced sides, 4-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ casters, and a removable side handle.

It looks like the black version is also on sale for $140, also with free shipping free in-store pickup.

6-Drawer Chest
This isn’t my favorite style of ball bearing chest, but at its $95 it’s a hard-to-beat bargain. I prefer the taller 6-drawer 12″ chests with shallow drawers, or deeper 5- and 6-drawer 16″ chests. But, for those with smaller tool collections, as 12″ cabinet helps cut down on costs and the narrower footprint allows for additional placement options.

3-Drawer Intermediate Chest
3 drawers for $65! That’s also a very good bargain in my book. I upgraded from 12″ tool chests a while ago, but two intermediate chests helped me to delay the upgrade for a while.

The shipping is free but there is a “Delivery Services charge” $69

They say “FREE DELIVERY” but a delivery charge is added to the cart?! I see it too. *Facepalm.* Oh, Sears…

Thanks for this. I just bought the 3 piece set. Ironically, I couldn’t order the set for the same price at sears, as it “wasn’t available”. But, I was able to get each piece individually, for the same amount, and will pick it up tomorrow in the same store.
Also, I don’t understand what the difference is between the 2 different Heavy Duty 26″ sets. The one cabinet is $139, while the other, with same specs is $244. Only thing I see different is the wheels on it. Model #113613 is $140, Model #113616 is $244. I don’t think fancier wheels are worth $104 extra.
What am I missing?

I tried to address your question in a new post – https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/differences-between-craftsman-ball-bearing-tool-cabinets/%3C/a%3E .
From what I can tell, the more expensive one has the newer style casters, a different drawer configuration, and deeper drawer pulls. That’s about it.
Both should have the same or similar 75 lb-rated drawer slides, and I can’t think of any other differences.
You’re not missing anything – Craftsman’s tool storage products are often difficult to tell apart.

It has been awhile since this post was listed….. but was hoping for a quickie answer……
Might anyone out there have the HEIGHT dimensions of each drawer?????
I need the bottom drawer to hold 2 toolboxes (both total apprx 45-55lbs).
Would prefer a lift-up for the bottom drawer area VS the rolling drawer…. but since I’m not rich and I can still find this unit for an absolute fab price – this just might be MY toolbox! BUT the bottom drawer HEIGHT will be my main concern. And yes, it’s always nice to know if just a ratchet fits in any drawer VS a hand-sander.
Any info on ALL the drawer HEIGHTS?
Would appreciate anything anyone can offer RATHER than a trip to Sears (hoping they have the model) or calling Craftsman :)))

NEVERMIND ALL :)….. it appears that Sears Parts has given me the answer. I can only hope that the 9″ bottom drawer is actually that.
For anyone else wanting dimensions, the best I can offer is what I finally found after too much time of searching. Click here for Sears parts of THIS ITEM:
