Craftsman Electric Workshop Heater

This new Craftsman ceramic electric heater looks to be aimed at DIYers and anyone else who avoid working in their unheated garages once cooler winter weather comes around. It features 750 and 1500 watt heating levels, a fan-only mode, and robust all-metal body construction.

    Does it have a filter to keep sawdust out of the heating elements? If not it has no advantage over similarly-priced (or cheaper) home units.

    Also if someone doesn’t have an electric heater already, this isn’t going to do much good in anything larger than a one car insulated garage, at least, beyond hand warming or roasting your feet while the rest of your body freezes. Better than nothing, I guess. Your best investment in warmth is insulation and an air-right, insulated garage door (which is a fairly minor cost upgrade from hollow doors when new).

    we have here in europe similar but more powerful 1000W / 2000W / 3000W . 1500w is not enough.

      Ah, you enjoy 220V mains in your home. In the US we have 110V and NEMA 1-15 or 5-15 plugs (15 Amps) as standard, thus 1500W. While 20A circuits, sockets and plugs are standardized, it is rare to find consumer goods that use them.
