Craftsman Pub Table Stools Clock and Bottle Opener

Craftsman Pub Table and Stools

The Craftsman pub table and 2-stool combo is currently sold out outline, but might still be available in stores. Why did it sell out so quickly? Because the combo offers a snazzy pub-style table with two comfortable stools for less than $100.

Honestly, my first impression of the pub table was not that positive. Most of the leveling feet are mounted slightly crooked, and the silver accent piece that slides over the star-shaped base is paper-thin.

But after using the table for a couple of weeks as a support and backdrop for Craftsman tool review photos and a general catch-all, I’ve warmed up to it. It’s sturdy and offers a nice size tabletop while maintaining a reasonably small footprint.

Tools can and will scratch the table surface, so don’t treat it as a work surface. A quick wipe with a cloth can remove collected dust easily.

As for the stools – they’re pretty darn comfortable and the build quality seems to be a bit better than for the table. I actually like them a lot.

Overall, the pub table and 2-stool combo delivers somewhat better quality than I would have expected at the near $100 price point. I would have liked a more resilient table surface material and more robust table build quality, but that’s not possible at this price. Nor is it really necessary if you use it for what it’s designed for.

Treat the pub table as a pub table, and it will serve you well. The stools are great no matter how you use them, but for prolonged sitting you’ll want something with a back and height adjustment.

Saw Blade Clock

Craftsman Saw Blade Clock

What looks great on the wall and keeps good time? This Craftsman saw blade clock. Please note that the dust and sawdust coating the clockface is an optional add-on.

If you want something a little classier-looking and with more traditional hour and minute hands, there’s also a vintage saw blade clock.

Bottle Opener

Craftsman Bottle Opener

I’m not sure what needs to be said about this. It’s a made-in-the-USA bottle opener with a Craftsman screwdriver handle. How cool is that?! There’s also an all-metal cap wrench bottle opener available.

Personally I prefer the classic style of the screwdriver handle bottle opener, but the heftier all-metal cap wrench has a great Terry Crews-type more manly charm to it.

I was surfing around and ended up getting the hydraulic stool with back rest for 39 bucks, half off after adding the craftsman club discount . SearsItem# 009618280.

The item was an Xmas (or holiday) season special so once its gone, it gone btw. By now, there will be very, very few, if any stores that have anymore.

It pops up every now and again. I remember first seeing it in stores before Father’s Day, possibly as early as last winter. But yea, in-stores it seems to be seasonal. If it completely sold out now, chances are it will at least be back for Father’s Day 2013. The combo might be available again online sooner than that.
