Glad the 7-1/4″ slider didn’t work out the other day for me, LoL. This is only $250, instead of $499 w/ free jigsaw (or what I thought was going to be $399). Don’t particularly need a jigsaw at the moment.

Did anyone else think the retail pricing on the 7-1/4 slider would be lower than the 10″? I had anticipated it being around $350-400 when it came out.

I’m tempted by the 7 1/4″ miter saw since the Acme Tools Cyber Monday coupon doesn’t apply to the DWS779 and is 2% less than last year. I really don’t have the room for the larger saw anyway.

I picked up the 7 1/4 last time there was a 15% off coupon plus a free 5 ah battery. I was tired of lugging around a heavy (though reliable) Hitachi 12″. It is great if you are looking for a smaller, lighter saw for trim work.

I’ve never had a saw with shadow line, but it is a big time saver for me since I can’t keep a laser calibrated for more than 10 min.

I am disappointed with Acme Tools Cyber Monday deal. Last year they offered 20% off a single item with $150 max discount. This year they limited it to $50.

Same here. 18% is good, but for bigger ticket items, a better deal is likely on the horizon.

Your’re exactly right. I had planned on getting one of the Ego mowers but I just realized it’s on the exclusion list. The exclusion list seems to be much longer this year than last year’s Cyber Monday deal. I know that HD had Ego mowers on the Deal of the Day a while back for less than $400, so I’ll just wait around for that again. No hurry here.

Have you heard from anyone that had problems yesterday on Acme Tools website? I had a item in checkout and wouldn’t let me finish transaction so I lost out on the 18% offer. I sent them a email today with no response.

No, but their website was down at least twice. If they don’t get back to you in another day or two, I can see what I can do.

Really wish they’d put their T50 stapler on sale. Been eyeing that for a long while.

If you use a stapler regularly just get it. It’s AMAZING.

It’s okay I like it but it’s far from amazing. It will not sink staples flush in material that’s even remotely hard. Tension turned all the way up, 6.0 battery, it just can’t do it. Handy little tool though for LIGHT duty work.

I got the Slider after playing (working) with my brother’s last week. $249 is a smoking deal on this and glad I ordered before thinking about it since it’s sold out now. Perfect for doing trim. We were cutting tongue and groove to length for siding on the front of the house. Shadow line is very nice compared to a laser line.

The small miter saw is a great price, but it seems like a 2nd saw rather than my only one, so I passed.
I’m waiting on reviews for the new Skilsaw miter saw or I’ll wait until Milwaukee updates the 10″ with the 7 1/4″ er’s new features.
