$199 was already a great “special buy” price, but $159 is much better!

Seeing as how the DCF513 ratchet sells for $199 for just the tool-only, I’m calling this a HOT DEAL.
It’s unclear whether this is a limited time discount for Cyber Monday, or if the price will stay at this level until promotional inventory sells out.

If you’re looking for a different cordless ratchet deal, Home Depot also has the Dewalt 20V Max 1/2″ ratchet with 2x 5Ah batteries for $199.

I’ve been going back and forth between the M12 Fuel ratchet and the Dewalt Atomic. Both come with a battery and charger, and both are the same price. I ordered the M12……..and then cancelled. Decided to go with the Dewalt for the little extra torque and trigger. Thanks Stuart for another awesome year of everything tool- related!

The Dewalt ratchets are a better bet, much more ergonomic in the hand, at least the 12v ones are. But more importantly, the reverse lever on the back of the head is huge on the DW, to where you can turn it with gloves or cold hands with, the m12 ratchet reversing lever is very small and hard to turn

Thanks for pointing out that feature, I didn’t pay any attention to that. I got the 20v w/ the power stack battery (same deal above). The power stack batteries have a smaller footprint than the normal 20v batteries. They appear to be a perfect fit for this ratchet.

I have been looking at these cordless ratchets and was wondering if the extended reach offered by Milwaukee was an advantage over the “standard” DeWalt.
Also the battery arrangement on the Milwaukee with the smaller capacity batteries nestled in the handle vs the DeWalt with the Powerstack hanging off the end.

I thought the same thing about the battery location. The first time I saw the Dewalt, I thought No Way…..just looks like it would be uncomfortable to use with that big bulky battery hanging off the end. I have several M12 tools and thought that would be something I’m already used to, with the battery buried in the handle. But after watching as many videos as I could stand, the Dewalt seems to be the better choice. The small power stack battery doesn’t protrude from the sides, but fits flush, meaning it’s no wider than the battery compartment . Plus, I’m not a huge fan of paddle triggers because you need to let up on too much of your grip to manage the power. I’ve have a ton of experience with paddle triggers being an ex-auto worker. The Dewalt trigger would be more manageable one-handed. This is just my experience and preference. I guess I’ll have more of an opinion once it arrives and I actually use it. lol. I should have gone down to my local Home Depot and picked both of them up……..

I tried to convince myself of the same, but it’s just too good of a deal. I realized I could keep the battery for just this tool and from there I ran out of reasons against it.
There are a lot of times when a drill/driver isn’t a good fit for a task, but manual turning can get tedious. This’ll become my new go-to for things like that, or at least that’s the plan.

Just being logical.
Once deals sell out, the “do you think it’ll go on sale again” emails start rolling in. It hurts a bit to say “I’ll keep an eye open for it,” because most never return.
Home Depot looks to be the only retailer offering this kit at $159. Others still have it at $199.
Their website reports 8 in stock at my closest store, 1 at the next-closest, and 6 at another I go to. They claim 508 are available for delivery to home.
Historically, this deal could end tonight, or it could last a while longer.
Realistically, they have plenty they still need to sell.
I think you can sleep on it. How will you feel if you wake up tomorrow and it’s back to $199? Or if in a week it’s completely sold out (which I doubt)?
I can’t predict if it will still be $159 a week from now. Will it go lower for a deal of the day? There are too many variables, and so I would either wait with zero regret, or if risking heavy regret I would buy and keep in mind to return it should my mind change or the price drops.
If you’re on the fence, chances are you want but don’t need it. So wait on it until either your feelings change or circumstances finalize your decision one way or another.
