Is this a good deal? The Dewalt DCS570B circular saw sells for $179 for the bare tool. Thus, $199 for the saw, battery, charger, and tool bag, seems like a very good deal. You save $80 off the typical kit price of $279.

The 7.25 has a metal blade guard (point).
The 6.5 has a magnesium show (point).
The 7.25 is blade-right and the 6.5 is blade-left, if you have a preference.

At Amazon? Yes. But check back – they tend to go in and out of stock with deal items this time of year as incoming inventory is verified (or something like that).
I guess it’s to avoid overselling so much to where they cancel orders after the new year, which they did to me once a few years ago.

Hard to say? I’ve been watching, nothing yet. Deals like that usually go live earlier in the season and used to be very predictable. Now? Nothing is guaranteed.

What about the flexvolt advantage saw at Home Depot? Same price but with a 6ah flexvolt battery. Supposedly more power. I ordered one but it isn’t here yet.

Not supposedly, it legit does have more power when paired with a FlexVolt battery. Those FlexVolt Advantage bundles for $199 that HD had were for sure a better value, but I think they’ve all sold out by now.

I bought the DeWalt Power Detect saw kit which comes with an 8ah battery and a free tool, which I selected the new XR jigsaw… $279 at Lowes.

Does look to be a decent deal.
If it doesn’t have to be FlexVolt, Acme also has a 20V Max bundle on sale, and it looks to be eligible for $50 off $200+. You just need to add an eligible accessory to get you over the threshold. If you add other promo items (or stuff not on sale) you get free shipping on $199+.
I couldn’t say which is better, just throwing more more options at you. =)
