Dewalt Brushless Impact Driver

Greg W left a comment to another post, telling us that he just scored a Dewalt 20V Max brushless impact driver kit for $189 at Amazon. The list price for the kit is $279, so that’s $90 savings, instantly.

We previewed the brushless impact driver when it first came out and followed up with a Q&A with Dewalt. Our review is still pending, but we have used and tested the driver enough to recommend it.

The biggest competition for the DCF895C2 kit is Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL brushless impact driver, which we actually like a bit better than the Dewalt, but it’s quite a bit pricier.

Not yet. I keep flip-flopping between the two. Both reviews are in progress, but I might avoid doing a head-to-head comparison. They’re both great impact drivers, but at the present I’m leaning towards the M18, mostly in terms of subjective things, like the bit holder mechanism.

The rest of us already know the Makita 3 Speed Brushless is the way to go with the impact. Makita did this one right and I am still surprised everyday by how well the tool feels when you use it daily.
