I started searching for this kit after seeing a display at the local big box store, but they only have this kit at the $199 price. I found another online dealer that has this sander at a promo price, but they have it at $110.
The included 2.0Ah battery delivers a fair amount of runtime and also keeps the weight down. For longer sanding sessions you might want a higher capacity battery or even switch to an AC tool, but for a 2.0Ah battery is a good pairing for a cordless and brushless sander.

A big box retailer had a “buy a 2Ah starter kit get a free Dewalt finish sander” promo. (I didn’t post about that deal because it was in-store and very short-lived.) It was almost as tempting as this ROS sander deal, and I was thinking of buying it for a family member that’s been getting deeper into woodworking. I balked, after realizing that the recipient would benefit more from a cordless random orbit sander than a 1/4 sheet sander. This deal, however, seems perfect.
(Right after I hit the “publish” button, I’m ordering this sander on the spot, and probably a couple of other things from Acme. It’s too good of a deal to hesitate on.)
Update: I ordered the sander kit by itself and paid the $6.49 shipping. As this isn’t for me, that’s a lot less than I’d be able to ship it for. $105.49 is a fantastic deal for this kit!!

Great deal on the sander kit. I ordered it yesterday along with the DCW200 1/4 sheet version ($99 bare tool, no kit deal). Too good a deal to miss and I’ve been meaning to retire a couple 25 year old no dust port sanders for a while now. Really hoping the dust collection is decent, as that’s the main reason to upgrade. Obviously, if I had $1200 laying around I’d have gotten Festool, but c’mon…

Sometimes with these HD bundles you need to add two (or more) separate SKUs to your cart to get a discount. Each product page will usually tell you “add this free item” or something to that effect. Other times they are an entirely separate bundle SKU of their own. This instance is the latter, which can be harder to locate sometimes.

That’s a great sander. I picked mine up a few months ago when Home Depot had a $199 4Ah and 6Ah starter kit that came with a free tool. The router was one of the options then too, but I was more interested in the sander. Super happy with it!
