Dewalt 20V Max Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum

Over at Amazon, the Dewalt DCV581H portable vac is regular price, but it’s also eligible for one of those brand-specific Amazon holiday discount promos I’ve been talking about. The seasonal $25 off $100+ select tools discount drops the price of this awesome portable vac from $110 to $85.

At $85, this is a fantastic deal!

As mentioned in my review of the Dewalt DCV581H vac, this model can be powered by 20V Max batteries, OR Dewalt’s older 18V batteries. And it also has an AC power cord that provides unlimited runtime and allows you to save your battery power for something else.

Not only that, it comes with a HEPA-rated filter.

I have not tried very many cordless or corded portable handheld vacs, but I recognize a great product when I see it. It’s hard to imagine that any other model could trump this one. The Dewalt vac is powerful, has great cordless battery life, and it offers a nice balance between portability and capacity.

Buy Now(via Amazon)

A couple of years ago I purchased the Dewalt 18V DC515K cordless vac ($104 for the kit after discount), also during a December holiday promo period. It has served me well, and it’s even more compact than this one, but I have effectively retired it in favor of the new Dewalt. That vac has been bulletproof, and this new one is proving to be a great performer that is just as durable and reliable.

  1. But it's me!

Does anyone know if Amazon offers the $25 off to non-personal purchases? Would like to order one for work, but not sure if our purchasing department would get the discount.

If you order through Amazon, there might not be a way to turn off the discount. If you order through Amazon Supply, their business-targeted supply portal, you do NOT get the discount. I just checked.

Thanks! I was afraid that would be the case, especially since the way our organization works, I cannot place the order directly.

I keep on wanting to get the Milwaukee M18 vacuum, but I never pull the trigger. I know its an older tool now I was kinda surprised they didn’t have an updated version for their product event this year. I get it that you have to cover your resources. I just feel like if I buy one they will release an awesome one with a brushless motor and an AC plug I will just keep plugging along with my Ryobi cordless canister vac they discontinued it a friend keeps on wanting to buy mine, but I can’t give it up yet. It would take a new model or an awesome price to make me take the jump.

Picked up one yesterday. I don’t really need another vacuum, but this one is just too cool to pass up at the price. Besides, the economy needs the stimulation.

I am always using my first gen DeWalt cord/cordless vac, to the point it’s rather beat up these days. It has yet to fail me. So, thanks once again, Stuey, for making me spend money. I like the fact this model falls in line with my original that not only has the cord for longer usage periods, but still accepts my 18V packs along with the newfangled stuff. The bulk of my DeWalt tools are from the NiCd era, and while I did pick up some of the new 12VMax line, I never jumped to the 20V line. I was a bit skeeved that the new line really didn’t offer anything beyond the original 18V at the time, and it was also when Milwaukee was really stepping up their game. So, aside for some minor stuff, my continuing tool purchases came from Milwaukee and Bosch. The 18V LiIon retrofit battery brought most of the advantages the 20VMax line had, but I’ve noticed the declining availability of the 18V lithium batteries. NiCd packs still abound, of course. Here DeWalt proves they can make certain tools cross-compatible.

As I already answered you here – https://14cyiuhvcgv.com/dewalt-milwaukee-cordless-wet-dry-vacuums/#comment-681383%3C/a%3E , check with your preferred Dewalt tool dealer.

Maybe start with the place you bought your vacuum at.
