Dewalt Cordless Fan is on Sale for $79 (Mid-July 2019)

Dewalt Cordless Fan

While looking for hints about what might be on sale tomorrow for “Prime Day”, I noticed that the Dewalt 20V Max cordless fan, DCE511B, is back on sale for $79. I posted about a similar deal back in November 2017, and since then I’ve received a few emails asking about similar deals.

Update: It looks like the deal has sold out. It might be worth checking back later to see if they have it available for backorder.

Update 2: It’s back (as of 2:05pm ET) and available for backorder with a July 20th in-stock ETA.

Well, it’s back to $79, probably just for a limited time.

Dewalt’s cordless fan is compact, portable, and it offers a couple of different mounting options. You can power it via 20V Max battery or an AC extension cord.

Price: $79

I have also seen a basic starter set bundle, DCE511C1, that comes with a lower capacity compact battery pack and charger for $99. That’s usually a good deal, but if you don’t need a basic battery or extra charger, $79 is the lowest price I’ve seen on just the bare tool.

At the time of this posting, Amazon reports limited stock but they have “more on the way.”

If Dewalt’s cordless jobsite fan has been on your wishlist, this is probably the lowest price you’re going to see it at. If you pass on the deal, I’m sure it’ll be this price again in the future, or we’ll likely to see the $99 starter kit bundle again in the future. So, no pressure.

Lowes has had it at that price too. I picked one up last week. Been doing a ton of digging in the yard, and this thing has been my savior. Central Florida in July requires a breeze, natural or man made.

Just picked this up awhile back as the starter kit with the tiny battery — well worth the price, especially for outdoor work!

Too funny. Was literally JUST searching for these today, family friend visiting that had the Ryobi. The MSRP of this for $119 bare tool is pretty absurd though. Even at $80 it still feels like a rip-off. Just can’t decide if it’s worth that to me….

Are we going to get this tool in the UK?
What has happened to the 12V wall scanner? Discontinued? I was hoping to get it in the UK!

This is fan is great for summer camping. The weight of it and a battery a too much for backpacking, but car/tent camping it’s nice to have. When it’s a hot and humid, the air flow really helps.

How do I try the thing first?
Very weak? What product is better from DeWalt?

Ask customer service at Lowe’s for a battery to test it with, that’s what I did. The only cordless fan worth a crap is the Ryobi at the moment. Not enough powa!

Power? For a mini fan? I just want it for my office desk to keep my locks fluttering like the angel hair they are.

Sorry, it does look like they sold out.

In past deals, with “more on the way,” deals have come back in stock after some time, so it might be worth checking back.

It’s weird, because it showed up for me at $79 several times, but I just couldn’t add it to the cart.

Is anybody else having problems trying to buy this fan on Amazon? I hate buying stuff from Amazon, but been wanting this fan for awhile and it’s $30 cheaper than Acme, but every time I click “Add to Cart” it takes me to my cart and says “your cart is empty”.

Now suddenly the $79 amazon prime deal is gone and the cheapest price that shows is $111. Amazon is acting really goofy, when I click on the “see all buying options” it takes me to a page that shows the fan, but the title is for a cordless threaded rod cutter???

I tried it out… And the fan does the exact opposite of cutting threaded rod. =P

I saw the kits yesterday for $99. I have three of the Ridgid, the larger Ryobi, and am Arctic Breeze I somehow found for $20 on clearance (there was a display yesterday but they were sold out; I found mine over the winter so I guess it was plain luck). The Ryobi is obviously the winner given its size, but the Ridgid fans worked well when I was a Drill Sergeant in Georgia.

As a side note, newer tools and such have been quietly modified to accept the latest batteries. I bought my first two Ridgid gans in 2017 and they don’t work with the 9.0Ah batteries, but the fan I bought last year does. I currently have all four hybrid fans plugged in and helping the kids and me stay cool in the relative heat wave arpund DC. After spending the previous nine years in Louisiana and Georgia, this seems laughable, but I’ve already adapted to and it’s just plain hot outside.

Fan is now available at tylertools for $79 with a free 4AH XR battery, DCB204 and free shipping. Add the fan to your cart, and it auto-adds the battery.
