Dewalt’s 20V Max cordless brushless motor oscillating multi-tool kit, DCS355C1, is once again on sale for $99.
You don’t get a lot in the kit, but you get everything you really need – the tool, two starter blades, an adapter for using it with other accessories, a 1.5Ah battery, charger, and tool bag.

There’s a new Dewalt oscillating multi-tool kit out, but that kit is $199. There is also a new Atomic model, but with slightly lower speeds.

The bare tool is currently ~$110 via Amazon. So with this kit, you end up getting a battery and charger, and save some money too.
Right now, only Home Depot has it for $99. Lowe’s will have it at this price for Black Friday. Other retailers will likely also drop the price down to $99.
This was one of the best Black Friday deals last year, and I feel that the same will be true this year. Sure, the kit only comes with a small selection of accessories, but that also means that you’re not putting money towards cutting blades you won’t use, or 20 sheets of sandpaper you don’t need.
The included 20V Max battery is also 1.5Ah, instead of 2.0Ah. But at this price point, I think we can look past that.
The DCS355 remains a popular and comfortable cordless oscillating multi-tool. This kit, at $99, is a heck of a good deal.

This is a heck of a good deal on a very good OMT, even if you aren’t in the DeWalt platform it’s worth a look. The battery is ho-hum but speaking for the 2ah I get a lot of run time with mine, so I would think the 1.5ah would be acceptable.

i bought this tool a few months back. It is a really good multi-tool very powerful.
My only complaint is the Advertising picture. There is a depth gauge pictured. That is NOT provided with the kit. Very false and misleading advertising by DeWalt. Very disappointing and misleading. Clearly bait and switch on DeWalt’s part.
I did buy the depth gauge separately and it works well. Just not happy with DeWalt’s misleading advertising.

I’m thinking that maybe a dynamic cache setting somewhere is broken or misbehaving.
Are there any other warnings, notices, or anything of the sort?

There are no warnings or notices but I switched over to using my phone and everything seems to be working fine. But when I go back to my desktop your reply is not visible. I’m not sure if a screen shot of missing comments will help you but I will if needed.

Yesterday afternoon / evening, checking the homepage and HD/MW thing a few times, I observed a small issue with for instance for the milwaukee thread, where the homepage would list let’s say 6 comments, but when viewing the page there would only be 4; then it might say 12 but there were only 8 … then double refreshing the article page would show the extra repliers … figured it might have been some kind of cache thing on my computer or the interwebs, but it is not something that is typically an issue, certainly hasn’t been before, when I check to see if there’s extra comments or somebody replied to a comment question.
But, maybe there was a small glitch or something with the hosting system.

I wonder if it’s picking up “pending” comments, but it could be a caching issue. I’ll try to keep an eye on it today.

I reloaded the homepage, saw new comments by you in the sidebar, clicked through and Safari OSX gave me the page without your new comment.
But, that could be old cache on my end.
I may see about just clearing my cache.

I feel like I’ve seen several DeWalt deals this year where they were offering this as a bare tool for free if I bought something else.
I’m hoping the 18g brad nailer an he the oscillating tool have a combo deal this season ?

Well now even the mobile site seems to acting up. A moment ago my reply to your reply was displayed and this posting on the “Hot Deal: Dewalt…..” showed 8 comments and now it shows 6 where my desktop show 5 comments.

The mobile site is not working right either. When I post a comment, it shows up correctly along with all of my previous comments as well as yours, but when I exit from that page and reload it, most of my recent comments are missing.

Not really. While I see all of my stuff and others I just noticed that the Recent Comments list changes some as I select a different posting. For example; when I click on the ToolGuyd banner at the top and go to your home page, the top three on the Comments list is Boggsy, Tom & Pete. But when I click on your most recent topic post on the Spyderco knife The Comments list to the right changes to Adam, Boggsy, Tom & Pete. When I click on Adam it took me to the Dewalt OMT post but Adams comment was no where to be found. This was all on my desktop pc.

I don’t need the charger or battery so but I am in the market for an OMT and am on the Dewalt 20v platform, but I think I will get the DCS356 baretool with the adjustable speed settings at about the same price.
