Dewalt DCK940D2 20V Max Cordless Combo Kit

This Dewalt 20V Max 9-tool cordless power tool combo kit (DCK940D2) is on sale for $499, which is a recurring seasonal price on this particular combo kit.

One thing to be aware of is that the kit comes with (2) 2.0Ah batteries and zero high capacity packs.

Dewalt DW745 Table Saw

The venerable Dewalt DW745 table saw is on sale for $249, a very good price for an excellent saw.

I had that table saw before I bought a cabinet saw (I know – not a comparison). I liked it for what it was but wow was it loud (like a screaming jet). Especially in a garage. Is the flexvolt version much more quiet being brushless?

Haha, this saw was on one of our job sites, where we of course needed to perfectly half full sheets. I jokingly said f it, we’re cutting off two 12s! I mean…how often would you really need over 16″ rips? Ummm. Probably 1/3rd… maybe a quarter of the time. Enough that if someone put a bow around this and tried to give it to me, I’d just slap them. I’m not dragging around a hunk of machinery that’s ineffective at its one job. Even the tiny flexvolt one has a 24″ rip capacity. Can it hold up to heavy persistent use though? Dunno. If I ever find a crazy good deal on it, I’ll let ya know how it sounds. =P

You know you can go to Lowe’s right know and get a brushless drill or driver with two 2.0 batteries with power level built in along with a charger and bag for $99 so just personally if you’re after batteries at least get a brushless tool as well.

Right, an entry-level drill with 1.3Ah batteries. The DCD777 drill is widespread during holiday seasons.

That’s still a high price compared to what it costs them to make . You would think they would drop the price and sell more . That would give the little guys a chance to get them , even the batteries are high in price.

It seems DCS354 and DCS356 have become available. But not when you google them! Strange!
