Dewalt Anchors Fasteners

Mike sent in a bit of news about Dewalt anchors and fastening products that are coming soon to Europe. I took a look, and sure enough there is a slew of Dewalt-branded fastening products under development and on the way, including direct fasteners, mechanical anchors, chemical anchors, and light duty anchors.

Dewalt’s page says that customers in the Americas – and many of the other listed countries – should look to the Powers Fasteners site for support more information. This suggests that we might not see Dewalt anchors and related products here in the USA. Maybe not at first? But then again, you can probably just buy the same stuff from Powers’ lineup.

Stanley Black & Decker acquired Powers Fasteners back in 2012, and so this cross-branding cooperation isn’t exactly a surprise.

Thanks Mike, for the tip!

Looks sweet. its usually safe to trust something with a dewalt brand on it. I know one of my guys will try ALL of these that might be stocked at our local homedepot.

I guess the name Dewalt has more brand recognition than Powers. For someone who like me who has used concrete fasteners for 40+ years – from such companies as Rawl, Powers, Simpson, Hilti, Fixrammer, Ramset and ITW-Red-Head – I’m not impressed by having the Dewalt name slapped on anchors, PATs etc. Maybe it will be a good thing if they innovate and/or provide some added competition.

I have already seen some of this line being tested in Home Depot stores in Dallas.

When I was an HVAC duct technician working in downtowns skyscrapers (they are all made from metal and concrete) all the duct systems where anchored with these type of anchors. The wall beams are all metal too (from my experience).

Dewalt would loose some money if they don’t bring it to the US….IMO.

I was using dewalt tools back then as a duct installer and didn’t have a problem to complain regarding reliability, mostly annoying features and lack of features.

Maybe they are, but their website auto-redirects to the Powers website if you select “Americas” as the region.

If these anchors were re-branded by the ITW, i.e. Tapcon, I’d definitely be potentially interested in these. However, knowing Black and Decker Stanley, that isn’t going to happen likely.

Black and Decker Stanley is really trying to brand out there aren’t they?

Nice to see the 36V line get a little lovin’ in that photo. I have the same rotary hammer (recently upgraded with the HEPA dust collector attachment) as well as the hammer drill, and despite all the newer tools in my arsenal (FUEL drills, etc) they remain my go-to drills for absolute power without a cord. The line can certainly use and upgrade to higher amp-hour batteries, though. Back when they were the latest and greatest, 2.6AH was incredible. Now, not so much. Still, the tools hold their own with power even to this day.
