Dewalt FlexVolt March 2017 Savings

Most Dewalt FlexVolt tools, sometimes excluded from retailers’ money-off coupons and savings events, are on sale, TODAY ONLY!

The sale seems to be going on at many authorized Dewalt dealers, with savings of up to $100.

Buy Now(via Acme)

There are some exclusions. The sliding miter saw kit, DHS790AT2, isn’t on sale anywhere right now. The lowest price I could find is $749 on Amazon.

Sale Prices

  • Circular saw kit DCS575T2: $299
  • 2x 6.0Ah battery pack: $149
  • 1x 6.0Ah battery pack: $99
  • Reciprocating saw kit DCS388T2: $299
  • Stud & joist drill kit DCD460T2: $399
  • Table saw DCS7485B: $299
  • Angle grinder kit DCG414T2: $299
  • Non-sliding miter saw kit DHS716AT2: $549
  • Power station DCB1800B: $299
  • Power station kit DCB1800M3T1: $499

Do I need another portable power station? More FlexVolt battery packs? Oh, I wish the 9.0Ah battery packs were on sale!

The deal is valid today only, 3/21/17.

I know a lot of people are wishing that the sliding miter saw was on sale instead of the non-slider, or maybe some people have been meaning to pick up the non-slider, but other than that this is a fantastic deal.

The FlexVolt table saw is on sale, but only the bare tool and not the table saw kit.

I wish I had known about this promo earlier – the Power Station kit I sent to a reader as a giveaway prize earlier this month cost me $100 more. I’m tempted to buy another one to go along with the early review sample I’ve been testing out.

Are you taking advantage of this one-day Dewalt FlexVolt promo? What did/will you buy?

It’s not limited to Amazon and Acme – readers have been forwarding in promo newsletters from many online retailers.

    I wish I had a need for Flexvolt, 🙁

You should add the original prices to compare with the sale prices.

I considered that, but I don’t want to make a mistake. There’s too much uncertainty. If I jotted down the prices recently, it would be different.

Part of the reason for the prices is to have a record of how low the prices were, for future sale comparison purposes.

Most of the sales prices reflect $100 savings, some of the less expensive tools have lower savings.

Amazon says the circular saw kit was $399, other retailers have it at $379. I remember seeing it for $399 a few months ago. So is the savings $80 or $100?

The same thing with the table saw. Amazon says it was $399, others have it at $379.

The Camelizer Chrome extension is really great for looking up historical prices on Amazon. I use it for tracking if it’s worth waiting for Christmas or Father’s day to get a deal on a tool or not.

PriceZombie used to support HD price history as well, but they discontinued support and no longer run a price database server.

Oh yeah, and you can set up email alerts for price thresholds.

From a quick look, it appears these sale prices are all at least tied for the lowest prices the tools have ever been listed for on Amazon.

I have found that price trackers aren’t always accurate or updated often enough, and have found them to be inaccurate when it comes to historical references too. Most of the time they’re ok, but I’ve stopped bothering.

I’m eyeing the circular saw really hard. I don’t own a circ saw and I have a use for one. but pretty much any one would do – so no reason really to buy anything special.

I also half way want the recip to replace my corded milwaukee. but again no real reason to.

I also need a good straight edge guide device – or well I want one. Leaning toward either the Bora product, the woodcraft/woodriver product or maybe even the EZsmart. But that’s a different discussion. I like that basically those kits are giving you another flex volt battery

    Warning! Stoopid question alert!

I’ve admired the power station from afar, sad that it only has a US socket and there is no UK version.

But the Amazon listing quotes 120V/240V input and output specs!

So, could I conceivably buy one, switch the US plug for a U.K. one and add a decent socket adapter to the output? Or is the Amazon spec wrong?

Would someone mind flipping there unit over and confirming what the label says?

      That’s a very good question.

See added photo at end of post. It’s setup for ~120V AC only.

I got a few emails on this. As you say there are several online retailers who seem to have this deal going on. I’m not sure if any of the deals are better or worse.

See, now I am torn. Is it worth the extra $200 for more batteries on the PowerStation. I don’t have a Flexvolt battery yet so thats vaguely interesting, but I have plenty of 3 AH and 5 AH 20V max batteries. Maybe better to buy without batteries and buy 2 Flex Volt stand alone versions instead?

If you have plenty of 5Ah, why pay for 3x 4Ah batteries?

I’d put that money towards 6Ah 20V Max or FlexVolt batteries, or some 9Ah packs. Or maybe more 5Ah packs.

That’s what I ended up going with, the unit without Batteries at $299 and two flexvolt batteries at $149, even used your link. Let’s hope you get a small commission.

personally I just don’t see that little table saw being useful. especially only running on the one flex volt battery.

it should have been more like a 7490 model crossed with the X2 mitre saws. such that it used 2 batteries or had the outlet adapter. And was bigger. All for 700.

but I oft ask too much.

odd blade size is a deal killer for me. I’d almost rather have a 7-1/4″ table saw than 8 & what-ever size, or bump up to 10″ and use a 2nd battery. That’s why I avoided Milwaukee’s 6-1/2″ Fuel. I prefer not to pay the extra ‘tax’ of buying a less common blade size, but more importantly, there is more blade selection.

These have been the prices for months at my local home Depot, most tools+battery kit for $299 with free extra battery. Joist drill, table saw a little more. Almost picked up the circular saw but instead grabbed the 20v miter for a remodel, as I’ve already got the 20v 6.5″ and a worm drive lol

Correct me if I’m wrong Corey, but those prices you’ve been seeing were on one battery kits and these are two battery kits.

Correct, but with the promotional free 2nd battery essentially a 2 battery kit

I bought the circular saw about two weeks ago but at $319 for the 2 battery kit it was a great deal. I helped build a deck and that saw POWERS thru some very new/wet pretreated lumber like it was just plain pine. Over all i love this new saw and it was a great upgrade from the old 20v one i had.
