There are a few other deals, but I thought the above deals had the best sale pricing. I’m not sure long these deals will last, the only thing Toolup says is that the prices are only good for as long as supplies last, so no back orders.
Some of the readers have recommended tools at Toolup, but I’ve never purchased anything there before. Let us know your experiences shopping there in the comments.

Seems like some deals.
Last year we saw x2 9ah FlexVolt Battrys for $199. (Can’t remember where). This year the only FlexVolt Battery Sales have been on 6Ah.
Seen very little action in the FlexVolt Line this year. Dewalt does not seem to be pushing Flexvolt like that have in the past. Are they now going away from FlexVolt? They have introduced several tools this year with little to no mention of FlexVolt.

Since the batteries are backwards compatible with the 20v tools, I look at it as more of a future proofing. Depending on the deal at the time, the 20v and 60v batteries swap back and forth on which is cheaper.
At this moment, the cheapest I know of for 60v is $79. The cheapest I can find a 20v 6ah at this moment is $99. That isn’t exactly a good comparision though, since the 6ah 20v has a price premium over the 4 and 5ah batteries at the moment.
The 60v at $79 is $13.16 per amphour. The cheapest I could find a 20v 6ah battery at is $99, or $16.50 per amphour. But dropping to raw amphour cost, the 5ah pair that was on sale at amazon would be the best I have ever seen ($108 for two 5ah batteries and a charger) at $10.80 per ah. the pair of 9ah flexfolt batteries you mentioned for $199 last year would be $11.05 per amphour.
End of the day, I buy flexvolt when the price differential is within a few dollars per amphour. I only have 1 flexvolt tool (the grinder) and a pair of 6ah batteries but I want the table saw and miter saw. May as well plan for the future if it won’t cost much.

Personally I have done similar calculation in the past when buying supplies for my shop. It might look like a lot to put on paper but it’s very quick on something like excel. Plus that’s something that only has to be done once. If I was going to be hunting for deal then I say it worth while to put in a little extra effort to know what exactly I am getting into.
Obviously this assume that those battery fall into similar category. For example I would put smaller battery into a group and larger battery into another because that greatly affect the ergonomic of the tool.

depends, you & my boy say the same thing. But he has a lot more money than me. I do exactly the same thing as @evadman I’m breaking it down per amp/hour. Right now $70-80 is a good price for flex6.0 x2 = $150… best I can find for 2x 9.0ah flex is around 250$ if purchased separately. It’s close in price but 2×6.0 win. I won’t buy without a good deal on these crazy expensive batteries. To each his own though.

I picked up a pair of 12ah batteries for 179 each on sale.
Not having sales on FlexVolt would actually imply long-term strategy. There not trying to offload inventory…

I too, am disappointed in Dewalt!
I invested in the Flexvolt line and couldn’t wait for them to make more great tools for it.
Like a weed eater that takes all my attachments, a chainsaw that has a stronger professional blade tension, a smaller sliding compound miter saw like Milwaukee’s, a Flexvolt pressure washer, a Flexvolt snow blower and a Flexvolt shop fan. Oh well maybe next year if we’re lucky!

I think some of dewalt’s resources (like probably a lot of other SBD) went to helping with the craftsman launch, getting tools designed, the manufacturing going, and everything done in order to release the huge slew of products they did, as quickly as they did. Maybe now that craftsman is off and going, we’ll be back to seeing more DeWalt new stuff in both 20V and flexvolt.
I too would really like to see a flexvolt shop vacuum in the 14 gallon ish range, maybe also a smaller 5-6 gal one like ryobi has or the pro-pack style ones. Make the 14 gal dual battery and hybrid, so I can plug it in like the miter saw.
Bosch green has a new 18V washer out in Europe, the Fontus. Still waiting for the Ryobi 40V pressure washer to make its way over here as well. A good cordless washer that’s stronger than the worx is missing from our market right now.

Flexvolt has grown , and remains the best in class ( except the sawzall) the new vacuum is the most powerful in it’s class and the line will continue to grow..
….it’s a line to invest in, for the future …
