There are still noteworthy deals out there, and some Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals have continued. I don’t know about you, but I usually walk into the holiday season with a short shopping list, but then as sales continue other ideas and needs come up.
For instance, I was seriously contemplating buying a Powermatic jointer, re-evaluated the monetary and workshop commitment, and am now looking for a deal on a carbide insert benchtop machine.
Happy Saturday! Avoid the malls and shop from the comfort of your personal internet devices!

Over at Tool Nut, save $25 off $100 Milwaukee tools, today only.
Update: The Tool Nut promo has ended.
My Packout order from November hasn’t shipped yet, but they did say the boxes I ordered were backordered until December. Tool Nut’s promo does still work on backordered tools, just not pre-orders or promo items.
Or, save $25 off $150+ at Acme Tools. Why shop this sale? There looks to be fewer exclusions, and some tools that Tool Nut sold out of are still in stock at Acme.

This Dewalt 20V Max brushless jig saw and sander bundle (discussed here) is $199. It’s no longer eligible for the added $25 off $100+ Dewalt coupon code, but it’s still a great bargain.
This Dewalt LED worklight and 20V Max battery bundle deal IS still eligible for added $25 off $100+ bonus coupon savings. $114 for all this is a GREAT price!
Stock seems to be running low on this Dewalt 20V Max oscillating multi-tool kit special buy. You get the brushless multi-tool, a compact battery, charger, starter accessories, and tool bag for $99.
Acme Tools has a limited time Bosch promo where you save 15% off select tool purchases.
There are some exclusions, in which case try their $20 off $100 promo. For instance, the 15% promo won’t work on the Bosch router combo kit, but the $20 coupon will.
15BOSCH for 15% off
20BOSCH for $20 off $100
No, you can’t use both promos at the same time.
Amazon has some deals on Fluke multimeters and test equipment.
Unfortunately, that’s about all that’s noteworthy. Maybe they’ll have some more lightning deals later.
This Makita 18V 6pc brushless combo kit, discussed here, is still $399 at Acme Tools and eligible for added $25 off savings. $374 is a great price for what you get here.

Other Deals?
It seems like the holiday promos have dried up a little, but maybe there are other deals we’re not seeing. Please let us know if you find any other great deals worth mentioning!
Here are more deal posts from later in the day:
Hot Deal: Dewalt Cordless Brad Nailer with FREE Battery and Charger Bundle (12/7/19)
Dewalt ToughSystem 2-Drawer Tool Box is on Sale AND Coupon-Eligible (12/7/19)

I’m in a similar situation where my M18 8 1/4″ table saw blade is hinting it wants to be replaced soon but I didn’t take advantage of the bf/cm Milwaukee coupons. That $25 off $100 Milwaukee is like getting one of their nice white blades free since I have to grab a few other accessories.
Btw if you’re looking at a jointer, have you heard much about the Cutech benchtop model with the spiral cutter head? They just got bought up by another company and have a promo going on that includes some free replacement carbide insert sets. https://www.wahudatools.com/product-p/50180cc-whd-deal-stealer.htm
Stuart
That’s what I’ve been looking at. (Again.)
The price is higher, and they sold out of the 12/18-shipping allotment, but there looks to be some updates and a cast iron table.
It looks like the same company that makes Porter Cable and Craftsman jointers is making these. The new Craftsman jointer looks to have the same “updated fence,” but with the Wahuda (where does the name come from??) you get the cast iron table and spiral-type cutter head.
Then again, $550 is a lot for a benchtop jointer. But, it might be a year or longer before I’m ready to commit to a floor-model, or at least a year until the next Powermatic 10% discount deal comes around again.
I don’t know the backstory.
They say “we are reorganizing under a new company name and brand called Wahuda Tools.” What does that mean??
“Our new company formation will give us the opportunity to work with other high-end manufacturers of benchtop tools to improve our product offering and expand the line going forward.”
There’s not much about any of this on any woodworking forums. The reorganization seems unusual.

“Reorganization” is often code for “chapter 11 bankruptcy”.

Beware “spiral-style”; that’s patent-infrigement-avoiding code for “square carbides arranged at 90° to the work in a spiral”. While that MIGHT give you better results on figured wood than a well-maintained set of sharp knives, it’s not the same as a Shelix, where you’re cutting at a different angle than 90°, allowing the insert to establish a level at a single point before it encounters the entire workpiece. If the inserts’ faces rotate in-line with the shaft, you’re only getting half the benefit of a spiral cutter, at most. Typically less, if you keep your knives in good shape; HSS can get quite a bit sharper than carbide.
I’ve recently been working cottonwood and redwood burl with a 8″ long-bed Powermatic 60B and an 1980’s-era 18″ Powermatic 180 planer with a Shelix, and even though my old knives were stropped and leveled regularly with the very best leveling jigs, the Shelix makes them look like I was using rusty toothpicks when it comes to wood like that.
Stuart
Thanks!
Yeah, helix-style or spiral-style is a sort of in-between, but it should be better than sharpening knives and allows for carbide insert options.
The question is whether I’m better off with a benchtop jointer or much pricier and larger standalone planer, which is something I’ve been trying to answer for a while. I’ve waited this long, I might be okay waiting a bit longer, which will give me a chance to get my space into better order.
Your words have me leaning towards waiting again, which is probably a good idea. Thank you!

Thanks, Stuart! Really appreciate you still watching out for deals even though most of the black Friday fanfare is over.
Stuart
You’re welcome! And thank you for coming back for more! =)
There are always decent deals even after Cyber Monday. A lot of deals are over and won’t return, and some of the coupons are ending soon, but there will be more to come.

My HD and Lowe’s both are still flush with “black friday deals” but of course all of the stuff that really wasn’t that big of deal…maybe I just have too much crap but never really got anything this year related to a BF deal other than a tv early on before the rush??? YMMV
PS I did miss both $39 shop vac deals at both vendors 🙁
Stuart
The Lowe’s deal looked to be downgraded compared to last year, with a cheaper-looking drum. It didn’t make the cut Black Friday weekend, although the HD Ridgid deal still looked okay.
Joren
HD deal still in stock and same price in eastern PA
Husky triple rolling bag deal now down another 10 to $79
Much of the stock still in place as of last nights trip for downspouts but looks like prices crept back up on most items by $5-10

Our local Home Improvement stores are still pretty much full of all the BF and CM and Holiday clutter.
It does not look like they sold much, unless there’s some restocking trickery, but for instance …
On BF mid morning, the only two empty spots I saw at HD were: ridgid batteries that qualified for free tool and packout slim half width. That’s it. Everything else was still available by at least half a dozen, dozen, several dozen, …
End to end, covering 3/4 of the store, all displays, nothing else was not available, except come to think of it, the ridgid vacuum special, I did not see any vacuums. That must have sold out quick, and they just picked up the pallet and display.
Offers were just rather average and not big deal.
Certainly nothing that made me think, oh that is a doorbuster and too good to pass up. Let me go stand out in the cold at 5am.
Charles
yeah, my home depot is pretty full too. No surprise, the deals weren’t deals really
James C
The Tool Nut Milwaukee link isn’t working and I’m not seeing the deal on their site (On mobile so maybe I’m missing it).
Stuart
I’m sorry, I don’t know what’s going on.
I used an older image to save time since the new graphic said the same but with different colors, but the deals were definitely up earlier today.
Did it end yesterday and was taken down today?
I’ll see what I can learn.
Update: Promo ended yesterday and shouldn’t have appeared this morning when I spotted it.

Finally pulling the trigger (see what I did there) on that sweet Bosch jigsaw I’ve been eyeing for about 11 years. Thanks Stuart! I haven’t bought from Acme before, but they seem solid.

Dewalt 10-Piece Reciprocating Saw Blades (DW4898) are on sale for $4.99 at Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DW4898-Bi-Metal-Reciprocating-10-Piece/dp/B004TSS2TU/
Same set is selling for $20 at one of the big box stores. I don’t expect this deal to be around for long.
