Over at Home Depot, they have some very good power tool deals, today only. Deals are valid thru 3am ET 2/26/19, unless supplies sell out sooner.

First up, there’s a special bundle on Milwaukee M18 batteries. For $230, you get an M18 XC 6.0Ah battery, a rapid charger, and an M18 HD 12.0Ah battery. Both batteries are High Output. The 12Ah battery sells for $249 by itself, and other retailers have the special bundle for $249 – compare via Acme Tools.

After that, there are some good Milwaukee accessory deals, a very good combo price on a Dewalt table saw combo. Seeing as how the Dewalt table saw is $350+ by itself on Amazon, $349 for the saw and roller stand is a great deal.

The Dewalt brushless combo kit is also a good deal, featuring a compact brushless hammer drill, brushless circular saw, brushed motor impact driver, and brushed motor cut-off tool, (3) battery packs (two 4.0Ah, one 5.0Ah), a charger, and a ToughSystem rolling tool box.

Next, there’s another Dewalt deal, Ryobi and Bosch sanders, and a Makita 5pc 18V cordless power tool combo kit for $249.

The Makita cordless combo kit, XT506S, was $299 in early November, and held at that price through Black Friday. $299 was a good price, $249 is even better. I don’t think there’s a better pro-grade cordless power tool combo kit for the money.

There’s also a deal on a Husky garage storage combo, and Brush Master wood chippers.

In the last section, there’s another wood chipper, a selection of Dewalt and Wolverine footwear, and a Dewalt 20V Max brushless hammer drill kit and bonus reciprocating saw combo. The Milwaukee M18 Fuel and Packout combo bundle has already sold out.

For me the battery deal works out to be $0.80 cheaper at Acme ($249) – versus $229.97 plus tax at HD – I may contemplate it.

The Milwaukee Stud 2 pack has been that price since Black Friday. Surprised it hasn’t dropped in price at all.

The Bosch sander is a killer deal. I have been looking at that one and the lower version. Looks like I’ll be picking that one up.

Amazon not particularly to my surprise has the same sander for the same price.
Plus the added offer of 4 equal payments with no additional cost. And they’ll deliver it far sooner then the Orange Big Box.
They seem to occasionally do this.
Stuart? Have you seen this too?

The largest retailers have automated price-matching for certain products or categories. Or it could be manual, but, I’ve seen definite examples of automatic adjustments.

Amazon and Home Depot do this constantly on a few items at least. Home Depot runs a stupid good deal on tough system cases but never has them in stock for more than an hour each month. During that hour you can get them for the same crazy price on Amazon, then when stock runs out it all goes back to normal

Amazon actually had the $20 off $100 purchase so it was cheaper than HD. Ended up getting it there.

Ordered the table saw, it seems like a great deal. I think I have seen the same combo on sale before at the same price (maybe on Father’s day or black friday). The saw has good reviews overall, the only negatives I could find are:
    1. Table is plastic and some are warped (not flat) right out of the box
    2. Cannot do dados
    3. Miter gauge is complete garbage
    4. Extremely loud
Most of this just comes with the territory of it being an inexpensive portable saw. For my use these aren’t dealbreakers.

Another gotcha I learned from watching YouTube is that you must remove the rubber feet from the saw in order to mount it on the stand. The manual is apparently not clear on this and a lot of people try to use the “screw down” holes in the saw frame instead of the holes which are used by the rubber feet, which will not work.

My experience in buying dozens of jobsite saws at a time is that the miter gauges and blades that come with the saw – are just meant to be good enough that the manufacturer’s can claim that “everything is included” In most cases, buyers would be better served if they gave you a $10 or $20 credit toward buying a better blade and better miter gauge.

If I you add the cost of what I use on my Unisaw (an Incra 1000SE miter gauge and a Forrest WW10401125 blade) together their cost approaches what you paid for the saw, stand, blade etc. BTW – the Forrest blade I mention is a flat-bottom grind. It can do dados with your saw – but you would just have to cut them in several passes – one side, then the opposite side, then nibble away what’s left in the middle.

I’ve had a few Bosch job site tablesaws and 2 of the Dewalt saws. The larger Bosch wS nicer with soft start, but I’ve had no problem with my 16” rio capacity Dewalt compact table saw either. I wouldn’t say it’s any louder than any other job site saw out there. I’ve had Forrest blades too, and yeah – they’re great, but certainly not a base level requirement, especially for what you’re building with a small jobsite saw.

I don’t buy the $20 Irwin or Dewalt blades. But the Italian – made Freud blades are a very decent value for the $42-75 you pay for them.

I’ve had an Incra miter gauge too and couldn’t stand the tediousness ofadjusting the stop, fiddling around with the set screw and then moving the stop off the teeth and over to a new position on the meshing teeth, and THEN tightening it down.

Much prefer the simple sliding stop with a cursor of the Accumiter or Kreg design.

Thanks for posting this. I’ve been checking Craigslist for a chipper/shredder since October without much luck and I just ordered one through Home Depot with an additional 10% off coupon shipped to my house.
