Over at Home Depot, they are clearly targeting Father’s Day shoppers with today’s tool deals of the day, which features a selection of Dewalt and Milwaukee cordless power tool bundles and combo kits.
Well, I’d say most of these deals are aimed at Father’s Day shoppers, or could be. “Happy Father’s Day, here’s a urinal auger” seems a bit less likely than some of the other deals. Or the tools could simply be aimed at pros and demanding DIYers and only coincidentally timed with Father’s Day less than a week away.

As usual, some of these deals are quite good. Others, not so much, at least in my opinion. But overall, there are some very good bargains here, especially the high-count cordless power tool combo kits.

The circular saw and reciprocating saw that are bundled into Home Depot’s deals have been priced at $99 each in the past, although they’re a bit higher at other retailers right now. The grinder is usually $129.

Generally, with 6 days until Father’s Day, there are few surprises left, but they happen on occasion.
This year is all kind of weird, and it’s hard to fit it to historical patterns. Yes, there’s the pandemic, but I’m told that tool retailers are seeing extremely high sales volume.
