Dewalt Milwaukee Cordless Power Tool USB Charging Adapter Deals 2023

Home Depot has 2 great deals in their Black Friday savings center for both Dewalt and Milwaukee cordless power tool users.

Both deals feature the two brands’ charging adapters – accessories that stretch the usefulness of a cordless power tool battery beyond tool use.

These adapters essentially convert Dewalt 20V Max and Milwaukee M18 batteries into portable power banks that can charge or power other types of devices.

Dewalt DCB094K 20V Max USB-C Charging Kit

The Dewalt DCB094K is on sale for $79, from $99. This kit features the adapter, a 65W wall charging adapter and a 100W USB-C cord.

The Dewalt adapter features a USB-A output, which can deliver up to 12W, and a two-way USB-C PD port that can deliver up to 100W.

Not only does this convert any Dewalt 20V Max battery into a portable power bank, it’s also a charger, which is why the kit comes with a USB-C-compatible wall charger.

The Dewalt kit is under $70 at CPO and around $66 from various sellers on Amazon.

Thanks! I added in another link.

The problem with Amazon is that the lower price is only available via 3rd party sellers. I’ve been hearing about increased issues regarding tools purchased from resellers and unauthorized dealers.

Completely agree, thought I’d share though.

These things are worth their weight in gold when the power goes out for extended periods of time. They are one of the few items I don’t mind accumulating dust b/c when you need them, you need them. Related: Not the latest/greatest, but my local Tractor Supply had the older DeWalt version (DCB090 I believe) on clearance for $21, seemed too good to pass up at that price.

Yeah that DeWalt thing and a modern laptop that takes usb-pd. Handy when the power blinks

Or a long pit stop on a road trip

Tempted to get a second one

I wish the Milwaukee adapter could give a bit more than 175W. I keep running into situations that trip it though. Portable heater, shop vac, fairly small drill press, etc. More than anything I use it for charging up other battery powered devices and for convenient hot glue gun work. It’s great for small stuff.

For motorized tools, heaters, etc one would need to look into battery based power stations. Saw one recently by Ryobi, but generator level $$$ without any batteries included.

What would make you think that you could run any of those things on 175W?

Similar to what I was thinking. Heaters are usually very high-draw appliances – like 1300-1500w. Not going to work with a 175w adapter. Shop vacs are up there too. A very small drill press, like a tabletop unit, might be lower, but likely not below 175w.

I wouldn’t mind a similar adapter from team yellow though. It would be nice to have some 120v ability short of the very expensive “Power Station”.

I wish the DeWalt was offered without the wall charger. I don’t need one, and it adds maybe $30 to the price.

I can see it being very useful in a blackout. I have enough DeWalt batteries to power my cell phone for a week.

If you need more M18 batteries, this doesn’t seem like a terrible deal either https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-High-Output-12-0Ah-Battery-with-2-3-0Ah-Batteries-and-M18-Compact-Inverter-with-6-0Ah-Battery-48-11-1812P3-2846-21HO/326513728

The power delivery (PD) on the Milwaukee unit is terrible at 45w.
The Apple crowd will be reeling, lol. Or, anyone with a gaming computer!

At these price points, they really should have pass through charging as well as a min 100wPD.

Sure. Neither will they power my fridge. On the other hand, these things will let your existing batteries do more things than they can now, like charge your phone in an emergency. To me, that makes them a possibly useful thing, maybe not to you and me SPECIFICALLY, but to other people. 🙂

Can’t handle the compressor turning on? Running watts on a fridge should be >~175 for most. Good info if it can’t be emergency power for the fridge. Would have been one of my use cases

I wish you could get the DeWalt without the brick.

Meanwhile home depots 199 battery kit combo deal has some decent free tools as options. Like the dcf921 the 1/2 drive multi speed impact wrench.

And the new recipe saw. Fyi
