Dewalt Organizer Sale – $10 at Home Depot

Dewalt DWST14825 10 Compartment Organizer

Dewalt’s popular 10 compartment organizer, model DWST14825, is back for the 2021 holiday shopping season. This is a once-a-year type of deal that’s usually available for a couple of weeks or as supplies last.

Aaron (thank you!) wrote in with a heads-up:

It’s not the typical stuff I go for, but these were on sale last holiday and were out of stock before I got there. I think my store just got the one shipment for all season and they hit the floor this morning. At $10 with cups that interchange with Tstak these are a pretty great way to fill up a workshop.

This Dewalt organizer deal is typically advertised in Home Depot’s Black Friday sales flyer, and it went on sale at the start of November last year.

Right now, the organizer can only be purchased online for in-store pickup or express delivery. I just came back from my local Home Depot, and the organizers were not on display yet, and so online ordering with in-store pickup might be a good option. Aaron mentioned seeing these at his store, and so “your miles might vary.”

A regular (and free) shipping option was activated mid-November last year, but there’s no telling if that will happen again this year. Check back if that’s the purchase option you prefer, and I’ll keep an eye on it from my end as well.

Dewalt Organizer Removable Cups

I bought a couple of these Dewalt organizers last year, and I’ve been quite pleased with them. This isn’t my preferred style of clear-lid organizer, but I’ve been using these for less critical storage needs where I couldn’t justify pricier alternatives.

These organizers have removable bins, fixed handles, metal latches, and they can stack and latch together. The lid also has grooves that help to keep the contents in place.

At the time of this posting, there is a limit 1 per order notice.

Price: $9.98

    It’s a Dewalt/Home Depot Holiday Tradition!

I just bought another 3 at my local store (had one from last year). Your local store could put them out at any time, if you’re thinking of getting them do it before they’re gone. Keep checking your store

Interesting. I missed out on the sale price as my store sold out like 117 units in about 3 days. So I was in the store yesterday and needed a container for miscellaneous camping odds and ends. Prefer an organizer with a weather seal because it could end up getting rained on while camping. Ended up buying one of these for $20 over the Milwaukee organizer. The reason…. At regular price these include a rubber seal inside the groove around the perimeter of the lid. None of the product photos show this. Do these have the seal at holiday pricing? By the way, the Milwaukee at $25 is nice and has a seal also but the bin sizes are a little smaller so the Dewalt is a better fit for my needs.

Yes the holiday pricing ones had the seal. There was a close out deal on what was likely some old stock without the seal that came with the 8 bin organizers (with seal) as well for like $8.74 each. I got that deal and was slightly disappointed at the lack of weather stripping but it was a great deal either way.

Thanks for letting me know. Now I’m disappointed I decided to wait a few days to go to Home Depot to get some. I actually was surprised to see these in the store at regular price yesterday as I have only ever seen them in person during the holiday sale last year. Until yesterday, I figured they were just a limited run item for the holidays. I like the one I bought well enough that I won’t procrastinate if they go on sale again next year. Next best deal to these on sale is probably the Husky stacking organizers at $15 regular price. However, they have a little smaller bins and no weather stripping. Also, the lid is more translucent rather than fully transparent which could be a put off depending on one’s needs.

I bought a pair of them last year, and never found a use for them, until I started sorting out Lego bricks — one has roof tiles/slopes, the other has plates in it — they’re not really scalable for Lego storage, but work well for parts where one can have a sufficient variety to be useful in one container which can be grabbed, accessed, then put away.

I’ve been saying that for a couple of years, as soon as my kids are big enough for Legos I’m buying lots of these too sort then into if they keep this deal up.

Last year these came back in stock before Christmas after the sale caused them to sell out. My HD mistakenly put them out at the $10 sale price. I happily took 2 home at the posted sale price. But the manager immediately went and changed the posted sign. These things move like hot cakes at Sunday brunch!

The bright yellow color of the inserts is really helpful, it provides a really good contrast, and makes finding stuff easier.

I have some organizers from OEM, and parts stored inside them are hard to see, due to the black color of the inside.

I just bought 12 of these right off the pallet at my Home Depot in Kentucky. The lady who helped me was super helpful and while she didn’t actually locate the pallet (I did using the PLU) she did seem genuinely interested in helping me and helped me load my cart up once I found them. I’m a contractor and these are really a saving grace for our operation.

I love these things. I like them even more than the packout organizers.
Last year I grabbed a dozen, I’ll probably do the same this year. They’re worth it for the cups alone.

Build a drawer unit for the cups, use the organizers as bulk storage.

You can pull all or some of the cups out, put foam in them and cutouts for tools, use then as cases, at $10 per they are the best value in organizers/cases/toolboxes. They’re even IP rated.

So I missed these last year. Saw them online with pickup at my local store. They were all in boxes in gift center locations labeled to be opened Nov 1st. Showed the associate the home depot store on phone with pickup at the same location and they went over and opened boxes for me.

Limited to 1 online per order, but you can get as many as you like in-store!

Yup, picked up two more yesterday. Filled the other 2 from last year while cleaning up the garage this weekend. A lot more electrical items left to categorize. My HD had just put them out in the tool section near the other small storage items. The Home Depot lady confirmed the price for me. Thanks for the heads up.

Also – Stuart sorry for bothering you a while back on a recommendation for a good place to donate old hand tools. After Goodwill said no, I found the Habitat for Humanity store (ReStore) and though initially skeptical, they were thrilled to have a hundred or so used hand tools (pliers, c-clamps, punches, chisels, screwdrivers, various hand saws, plumbers tools, measuring tapes, masonry tools, automotive hand tools and more) that were my Dad’s. Since both my late parents donated their time to their local church and other agencies, I think they would agree with my decision.

Thanks for those links @aaron s.

I looked at services/people who print it for you. They ranged $5-10 per cup. Higher than the cost of the entire case. 3D printing is still more of a prototyping technology.

The OEM cups are around 1.30/each.

If I ignore the cost of time, it seems that printing 30 cups with dividers would justify buying a printer.

But, logic says that trimming cardboard or sheet aluminum would be even cheaper. Maybe I should stop being lazy, and start cutting! 🙂

You can buy the cups direct from dewalt, but you’d pay more than what you get by just buying one of the organizers. IIRC, the cups are about $1.30 each direct from dewalt servicenet.

Just want the cups without the cases? Buy however many cases that get you the amount of cups you want, list the cases for sale for $5 each. You just got 10 cups for $5.

These tend to sell very fast, but I also remember seeing lots of inventory left over at my store (a few years ago, not last year) after the promo pricing ended. Maybe they lost track of the boxed up inventory and put them out too late.
