These are basic tape measures, with 25′ x 1-1/8″ blades and 1/8″ markings. Blade standout is up to 10 feet, which is pretty good.
And no, these aren’t the USA-made Dewalt tape measures that the brand came out with last year. Going by an Amazon product description for a look-alike tape 25′ tape measure, these might be made in Thailand. You’re not going to get a good USA-made tape measure for $7.50 apiece.
One can never have enough tape measures, especially if you’re the go-to person when friends and family need to measure their rooms and doorways for new furniture.

I’m not trying to rant here, but do children not learn how to read standard graduations on rulers in school any longer? I seem to remember that being first grade material. Now it’s not uncommon at all for me to run across people younger than myself who have no clue whatsoever. The result is a bunch of tape measures cluttered up with fractional labels like this one here.

By 1/8″ markings, I thought it only had 1/8″ gradations. 1/8″ fractional labels? I suppose that could be a convenience for some.

Yes, school children are still taught how to read a ruler. At least in this state they are taught this first in elementary school then again in middle and high school. Then teachers have to quickly move on to the endless list of other things people expect the schools to teach and the students quickly forget how to read a ruler. Unless parents actually do something with their kids to reinforce skills like reading rulers, children will not retain what they were taught in school.

Decent deal. Ace hardware had fatmax 25 ft double pack for 17 just for four days last month. If you watch they have killer deals on Stanley tools every once in a while

I prefer the Milwaukee magnetic tape measures. They had a deal awhile back buy 1 -25′ and get a 16′ free. I jumped on that quick. I find their new tapes to be very durable a built quite well. I wish that they would put out a 12′ tape as well.

I forgot to mention this yesterday. I noticed on Home Depot’s site that this year’s Milwaukee deal seems to be one magnetic 25′ tape with one of the new 25′ contractor tapes free.

Thanks for the heads up Stuart…..I went to local HD to buy and the SKU # is the same as the single tape mesure. Tool lady would not let me buy them.
I went home and ordered them online for store pickup……when I got there they only picked 1, since I had my order with me I explained it was for a 2 pack. They went and got me another.

What helps make the world go around is that different folks like different styles of tools like tape measures. This sounds like a good deal, but not for me.
I agree with Mike – and find the numerical markings annoying and actually a hindrance for my old eyes. Harbor Freight typically has coupons for getting one of their “Pittsburgh Quick Find” similarly-marked 25 foot tapes for free. When I buy my nitrile gloves and chip brushes at HF – I usually look for a coupon for a free flashlight instead of the free tape.
Matt says that he likes Milwaukee magnetic-tipped tapes – and I had some guys who really liked this style – but I hated them because I found they collected small debris like iron filings , staples etc.
